Haven't been to the Philadelphia zoo in several years and love the upgrades. Reminds my daughter and I of animal kingdom in Disney Orlando but in higher gear (items we thought Disney should have included). Very well done, layout is great, lots of foliage. Great balance of approach to large / small buildings, animal mix, not too many small reptiles in mini boxes, good usage of wooden naturals, and fun stuff for little ones.

It has been years since I have been to the Philly zoo. Last time I was there I used my zoo key. Now in 2014, the zoo is still an amazing place to visit. The many different exhibits are exciting and fun to see. Plan on showing up early to avoid the crowds.

Well planned for visits with young children. Lots of rest areas & close up views of tall giraffes, hippos & all the beasts we love. Petting zoo is heaven for toddlers to 10 year olds. Indoor spaces cooling & interesting.

It has been about 8 years since I was here last, and I definitely noticed a change. It seemed much more oriented toward younger kids, which I think is a smart idea. You can't beat the layout of this zoo. Everything is set up precisely so you can move quickly and not get bored.

Got a membership that covers 2 people per admission and free parking with a discount code for just over $60. Worth it just for the primate exhibit. Since they also have reptiles, bird, penguin, big cat,and bear exhibits, it is an extreme value. Easy in and easy out right off I-76. Hoping to take advantage of my new membership in the coming year.
