“Beautiful Urban Oasis”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 16, 2013

I am a native Philadelphia and a Penn Alum and I can share that this is a treasure. Of course the academic reputation of this school speaks for itself, but the beauty and serenity of this campus is a Philadelphia treasure. Plan to spend time visiting College Hall, Logan Hall as well as Franklin Field.

“Great place to take a walk”

U Penn is of course a great school and it is a great place to take a walk when in Philly. Bustling atmosphere and beautiful architecture.

“Great Place to Wander”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 24, 2013

Even on a Sunday there is much ado. Stores are open. The campus is fun with squirrels cavorting all around us. The grounds are clean and fun to explore, especially for the young kids. Lots of area to run and climb.

“Mummies and more”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 23, 2013

Visited the University of Pennsylvania archeological museum with grandkids 8 and 9. Admission desk was a bit disorganized, but once we were in, the kids were fascinated with the artifacts. They especially enjoyed the reproductions of rooms and temples and, not surprisingly, the mummies. There's a little place where you can buy a simple lunch, and an awesome gift shop. We plan to go back this spring and take our 3 year old as well.

“Will the World End?”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 20, 2013

The Mayan exhibit about the "ending" at December 2012 but worth the visit. When you are there do not fail to view the Americas collection as well as Africa. The mummies are always a hit with young and old. Search out the special temporary exhibits. Many are small but worthwhile.
