Owner description: Penn’s Landing, the waterfront site where William Penn docked, is now the great gathering place for outdoor events, especially in warmer weather. A variety of concerts, presentations and athletic events celebrate this waterfront area where history mingles with present-day pursuits.

“How to use Penn's Landing”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 28, 2013

You don't go there to SEE Penn's Landing, you go there to ATTEND and DO things. It is an event venue mostly, and on most summer weekends there is something cool to do or attend for a few hours - especially ethnic festivals. Go to the calendar at http://www.delawareriverwaterfrontcorp.com/index.php?module=calendar when you are in Philly and see if anything interests you.

“Place to look at the water”

Penn's Landing is a nice place to walk with the family. There is plenty to look at on the waterfront, but it has restaurants and boats and a few museums.

“Pretty area”

It was nice to see Penns Landing again. A little disheartening is the graffiti that is all over, but it is Philadelphia! Pretty view of the battleship and a tall ship.

I never enjoyed Penn's Landing growing up in Phila. but the atmosphere has changed and they offer more for families to do.
