A museum not to be missed on a visit to Philly. Don't forget the annex. There is something for everyone, Japanese tea house, great collection of armor, contemporary art, special exhibits.

“A little Friday night music”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 4, 2014

The ambiance of the great hall is a treat at the close of a busy week. Have some wine & cheese. Sit on the steps or grab a table early. Stroll the galleries. Relax. Do some shopping. Good buys on 2nd floor or indulge in items in 2 lower level shops. Or just relax & enjoy the music.

“Art, history, and even food”

The Art Museum is a class act in Philadelphia. The exhibits are often changed, the standard ones enjoyable, and having a meal in the restaurant (themed for the special displays) is delightful.

“World Class Museum with wide-ranging collections”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 4, 2014

If you love art, this museum is a must. One of the great US art museums, the beautiful building contains many collections, especially strong are European and US-American painting, medieval art, collections of Asian art. Connected to this museum is the Rodin museum on nearby Franklin Parkway.

“The Rocky Steps”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 3, 2014

I never actually got to go into the Museum itself but for me I was happy run up the famous steps from the Rocky movies and get my picture taken at the top of them. I would have loved to visit the museum itself but time didnt allow me. Always a novel and interesting thing to do in Philly
