“What a great place!”
Reviewed October 29, 2013

Do not miss the gift shop -- especially for the special exhibitions -- and they always really cool things ready made for the exhibit. Take the recent Van Gogh exhibit -- it was amazing and then the gift shop had the coolest Van Gogh posters and provence spices and mustards and all this cool stuff. With the renovations and additions the parking is super easy and you never have to wait. So much to see -- and I read today that they just got a Vermeer!

“Rocky Statue”
Reviewed October 28, 2013

We didn't go in the museum. But we did run up the steps like "Rocky" Balboa. It was fun and touristy and had our picture taken by his statue, that they donated. It was cool building architecturally. And there is a striking bronze sculpture out front with elk, and everyone was taking photos of.

“world-class art...”

...in a beautiful landmark museum. Outstanding location at the head of the parkway with an outstanding view of the city. Gets the very best of the world's art traveling exhibitions plus one of the best and most comprehensive permanent collections.

“Beautiful museum, difficult to navigate”
Reviewed October 26, 2013

Lots of wonderful art, but every gallery seemed to be a dead end, causing lots of extra walking. Especially enjoyed the Asian and Impressionist art.
