excellent museum...great american paintings, but a fine collection of impressionist masterpieces...also, the armor rooms and tapestries are very extensive and interesting...

The museum was well worth the trip. The rooms are set up in a manner that made it easy to see different periods of history.

This is an amazing museum in my opinion. Don't just go to only run up the steps like Rocky and to take a pic with the Rocky statue. Well at least after you run up the stairs, you must go inside and enjoy the beauty of the art work displayed and various exhibits thru out the whole museum. I have been to the MET,Guggenheim and even the Louvre(a bit crowded to see the Mona Lisa) and I must say I prefer the Philadelphia Museum of Art. The collections are great and they are displayed beautifully and every part of the museum has intricate details on the walls and doorways. The museum was not crowded at all. Parking was easy for about $12 for the 3 hours we spent. The admission cost was well worth it. I also liked the fact there were enough seating for my Grandmother to take a breather when walking thru the museum. I believe they have wheelchair rentals but we didn't take advantage of it. My children also raved about the museum and they were not bored which says alot.

I come to the PMA all the time. Fantastic permanent collection, for sure. Exhibitions never disappoint either! It's huge, so you can spend all day here, and it really covers every area of interest in art, as far as period and style.

It is a lovely museum to visit. Costs 20$ fee, and you can visit again on next day. With the admission, you are allowed to visit too The Perelman Building (in front of the main building, but, imho, it does not worth) and Rodin Museum (is near too, on Benjamin Franklin Parkway, please do not miss it).

The museum is huge, with many rooms to visit, be prepared to stay for some hours. It is not as big as Metropolitan (NY), but still a large and important museum. The collections are good, and you will find several master-pieces, mainly from impressionist painters.

Cafeteria and museum shop, they are similar to others in other museums.

I visited one day and came back next day to visit again... loved.
