A truly great art collection in marvelous classical building, beautifully displayed. Highlights are a Van der Weiden Diptych and a Rembrandt Head of Christ. Don't miss this place - better than the Barnes!

It's not the Met or the Louvre, but the Philadelphia Museum of Art is definitely world class. It's big enough to provide some variety, yet small enough to be manageable. It's also fairly uncrowded. Plus, it has the "Rocky" steps and offers a nice view of Philly and Fairmont Park.

Loved the Impressionistic art--the Monets are incredible! Also love the building--love walking up the grand central staircase. It doesn't hurt that from the front of the museum, you get a great view of the Franklin Parkway...
