It's not the Met or the Louvre, but the Philadelphia Museum of Art is definitely world class. It's big enough to provide some variety, yet small enough to be manageable. It's also fairly uncrowded. Plus, it has the "Rocky" steps and offers a nice view of Philly and Fairmont Park.

Loved the Impressionistic art--the Monets are incredible! Also love the building--love walking up the grand central staircase. It doesn't hurt that from the front of the museum, you get a great view of the Franklin Parkway...

This is a lovely museum. There are so many artists you could spend the weekend there browsing and learning. It's a wonderful place to visit. Enjoy!!!

This museum offers many great things to see, but at the same time it is famous for the Rocky Balboa statue, nowadays placed at base of the main stairs on the front side of the building. Fun is made by all people who run on the steps from bottom to the top, imitating Rocky once they reach the top. No matter if they are young or adult, male or female. From the top of the stairs you can enjoy the most beautiful view of the city.

Well done exhibition. We came from Germany to see Marcel Duchamp! The permanent exhibition as well as the temporary one were amazing.
