with heavy competition from the Liberty Bell and Independence Hall just steps away, this fantastic museum is worth a visit to people of all backgrounds. Through September of 2014, the museum is showing a special exhibit of Jews in Baseball that is a special treat for sports fans. Try to schedule your visit with a tour by a docent of the museum....ours was just outstanding and made the exhibits come alive.

“worth the trip”

use the code word "cab" for a discount. The Chasing the Dream exhibit concerning baseball is right from Cooperstown. Run over and see it. Also view the other floors that commemorate how the Jewish people arrived in the colonies and survived as a people in the USA through today. Yes, add this to your list

Terrific museum that tells the story of the Jewish people who came to Philadelphia and how they left their mark on the city.

Excellent museum. Worth the time and money. Go early so you will have enough time to tour the museum slowly. Be prepared for an emotional experience.

“Interesting exhibits and collections”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 2, 2014

We were impressed with the exhibits and collections at the museum. It was difficult to read about some of the displays because the text boxes are too low and the text is too small for senior citizens. This meant that every time I had to bend down to read I was blocking other patrons. It was awkward. But, judging from the crowds in the museum, I may be in the minority.
