“The kids loved it! Do not miss - Highly recommend!”
Reviewed September 4, 2012

Although it is recommended for children under 7, my children ranging in ages from 3 - 8 all found several areas and activities they could enjoy. The most memorable for all is the large supermarket area in the lower level. It is even more crazy and busy than a real supermarket with the kids pushing their shopping carts and filling them up with groceries. Lots of fun! My personal favorite was the Alice in Wonderland section and the nursery rhyme theme area - both areas are nicely done and are a must see. Remember to take a break for lunch. Luckily contrary to other sources, there actually is a cafeteria in the building. Here we (family of 5) enjoyed a very reasonably priced pizza lunch for $14. If you would like to avoid sugary beverages, ask for cups at the register and fill up on water located at the soda machine.

“Fantastic fun for your little one!”
Reviewed September 4, 2012

We went on a rainy Labor Day with our not-quite two year old. He had a blast! In the interest of full disclosure, we are a military family, and therefore were given free admission to the museum; however, it would have been worth the price of admission if we had paid! The variety of displays is impressive, and there are plenty of (reasonable) safety measures in place. Our son was able to play independently with very little intervention from us. His favorite areas were the water world and the flight area. He loved launching the little rubber rockets! I also thought we'd never get him out of the Alice in Wonderland section. Staff members were easily accessible if you needed them, but were also very good at remaining on the fringes when you didn't. Another pro- the gift shop is amazing (and well worth a peek!), but you can avoid it completely if you don't want to purchase anything. The only activity that directs you through the gift shop is Story Time.

Really, the only negative part of our trip was not the museum's fault- there were several parents that felt it was acceptable for their child to snatch toys away from my son, or shove him out of the way if they wanted the item with which he was playing, or to let their child take an unreasonably long time with a particular activity when other children were waiting.

Overall, I can't say enough good things about this wonderful museum. There are so few things out there specifically geared to the toddler/preschool set- don't miss this!

“Awesome awesome awesome”
Reviewed September 3, 2012 via mobile

Went here with our 2 year-old in July and it was GREAT. What a refreshing experience after two days of Seaame Place hell.

Everything is accessible for kids of all ages, and it's one of the rare places that you can just relax and let your kid explore. The architecture of the building is worth the price of admission, which is quite reasonable. Pay the extra $2 for a ride on the carousel.

There were a couple of summer camp groups that were there, but there's enough to do and enough space that it wasn't noticeable.

This place is great!
