Perfect get-away! beautiful and clean. Spectacular lobby area... room was beautiful. top corner room! Excellent room service. Very courteous staff. Only issue was no tv remote and took a few calls to receive, but that was minor in relation to our entire experience. :)

Room Tip: Corner room, high floor! LOTSa windows! Quiet!

Hotel was nice, but after leaving we discovered that two pairs of my wife's earrings were missing for her jewelry bag. Called hotel twice to discuss with Loss Prevention personnel. Told them that we weeny accusing anyone in hotel, but we wanted to file report for insurance purposes. Promised calls back. Twice. Nothing. It's been several days now. Poor poor form for Duce an establishment.

My go-to place when in Philadelphia. Rooms are great, beds are comfortable, and the service is Ritz class. Always a good experience. The bar is also a great meeting place. Very convenient to good restaurants and entertainment.

Room Tip: The Club Level rooms are large and nice. All rooms are good though.

Beautiful lobby and bar area, but that is where it ends. Hotel rooms are not at a Ritz level. Old and dated. Had a corner room and it was nothing special. Front desk charged incidentals to my card twice at check in and then said it was declined. Gave them a different card and it worked, but when I got up to room looked at my account and realized they had put incidental holds for 4 nights (only stayed for 2) on 2 different cards. Called front desk and they took no responsibility for it and almost blamed it on me. INSANE!!! Many other better hotels in Philadelphia. DO NOT STAY HERE

Stayed here for 4 days in January for work. The location was really good and it is Ritz, so I thought it could not go that wrong but overall I am a bit disappointed.

Good things about the hotel: Pre-arrival communication is great. I got an email a few days before my arrival and they were pretty responsive. Location is unbeatable. Overall service was good, but not great...

Not so good things: You will notice many small details, like no shoehorns, breakfast menu is not put in the room, you have to call a couple of times to get your food ready etc. These are just some examples but when you stay there, you will notice small but a bit annoying things. Not quite a 5-star service. Also, I noticed a mistake in the check when I checked out. They double charged some drinks for me. Maybe a careless mistake but how many people check their bill carefully? Definitely worth checking your bill if you stay here.

The lobby turns into a bar at night and it is quite noisy because of its dome-shape. In room service is a bit slow. The food was not very tasty overall. If I step outside for 1 minute walk, I can probably get something more delicious with a half of the price here.

Oh and a horrible spa...

They say its the little things that set a 5-star property apart, and this Ritz Carlton is no exception. Except that here its the little things like the little bit of light in the bathroom where there is no shelf to put things, or the tiny wire soap dish through which the itty-bitty bar of astringent soap fell repeatedly, that set this hotel apart. I should mention the single-digit thread count sheets that encased the rock-hard bed, although the bed pretty much filled the little square room. The staff must get a little bit of training because they are consistently pleasant even if they don't always know what to do. This renovated bank does have a beautiful lobby, and is in a great location, but there are several better properties within a few blocks. Overall this hotel is a great place to meet for a drink.

Don't get me wrong, the Ritz-Carlton Philadelphia is a lovely hotel, but does not quite make it to regular Ritz standards in some respects. Let's start with what's great...as you enter you can't help but be impressed with the expansive lobby...lovely. I have stayed here 3 times in the past 2 months and check in has been very inconsistent. My first time it was everything you would expect from a Ritz...extremely professional and polished...I didn't even notice the headsets they were wearing to communicate to some "Oz-like" master doling out the particular hotel rooms. The second time, not so smooth. I guess Oz was off his/ her game that day b/ c when I arrived at my room I was surprised to find housekeeping still cleaning it. Not the end of the world, but when I trudged back downstairs, I would have expected a little more concern for the error and inconvenience to me. I simply was given another room and off I went. Rooms are also inconsistent, first time was lovely, very nice updates. Second and third time, was a bit disappointed...furniture looked a bit old and carpet needed a refresher. Had lunch in the restaurant which was nice, and while the server was very attentive at first, he seemed to lose interest mid-way through and had to be tracked down a number of times ( note: it was not busy). A gold star to Bill, who runs the shoe-shine stand there....excellent service! So, while this is a lovely hotel in a great location, it is a Ritz after all and with that come high expectations, hence only 4 stars.
