I've now stayed twice at the Alexander Inn while attending large conferences at the convention center. It's really a wonderful spot - an easy 15-20 minute walk up to the convention center and Reading Terminal Market. The rooms are small, but nicely furnished. The continental breakfast is generous with lots of options - way better than at chain hotels. And the staff are really nice and helpful. Prices are always competitive. I won't stay anywhere else in Philly!

This is probably the best place in Philly to stay at when in Philly. The hotel rooms are gorgeous and the view is nothing short of spectacular.

You know what really sets this place apart? The customer service is amazing. They go out of their way to help you out.

When we go to Philly again we want to stay at this hotel. The free breakfast and assorted pastries and fruit that they have on hand throughout the day is really very nice.

I can't say enough good things about this hotel. It is the best place to stay when in Philly. Book early they do fill up quickly.

Great place to go to recover if you are in for treatment at any of the hospitals. We were at Wills Eye Hospital and they were all very generous and helpful to us after the treatment. To me this place will always be considered special.

A friend recommended this hotel for our last night of a 4-day stay in Philadelphia after 3 days of being stuck at the horrific Sonesta. Alexander Inn was a lifesaver. Hosts were welcoming and we loved the room and neighborhood. Easy walking distance from wonderful restaurants and the convention center. We will definitely stay here again when we return to Philly.

The Alexander Inn is a very lovey place to stay when in Center City Philadelphia. The rooms are small but extremely clean and well kept. The location is great. Close to everything. The continental breakfast is awesome. Fresh pastries and bagel from a great local bakery. The common area/ breakfast room can get crowded so get there early. The staff is extremely nice and helpful.

Quaint hotel in center city philly. Walking distance to shopping, food and hospitals. Rooms were small but clean and cute. Old world charm found in the tile and some of the architecture in the building. Overall a pleasant stay.

Even though we live less than an hour from the city, with a January early morning medical appointment in centercity and weather forecasts not good it made sense to spend the night. The Alexander Inn as an alternative to a generic hotel was a very serendipitous find. Our room wasn't spacious but quite comfortable and clean, with a bay window overlooking a typical old Philadelphia street. It was quiet, although surely not so had weather conditions been other otherwise (cold and dismal for us) in the lively neighborhood. The breakfast was more than adequate, served by the cozy lobby area. The quaint European feel is appealing. Prices are fair. Reasonable parking is a short walk away.

Was a lovely hotel, only bugbear was the noise from the stairs which were adjacent to our room. But otherwise, great location in a really cute part of town, nice room, free wifi, good links to public transport, good breakfast and friendly staff.
