“Hotel is good, Philly is not the City of Brotherly Love”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 28, 2013

Upon checking in got $76 parking ticket since I didn't park in the "yellow zone" for loading/ unloading. Where I come from in the midwest, yellow is bad, but in Philly they change the
rules and apparently "yellow is good". Meter maid didn't care and actually enjoyed writing ticket!
Philly is not tourist friendly. My recommendation is put your hand on your wallet when visiting Philly. Hotel is within walking distance of the historical center city area. Breakfast is very good with Danish and fruit. Easy walking to good restaurants/bars. Good value for what I paid. Hotel is very good value.

Cosy boutique hotel, extremely well-priced. This was my first time to USA, to attend a conference being held at the Marriott. Rooms at the Marriott were more than double the price, the other major hotels were not much better. Pricing aside, Alexander Inn would have trumped them hands down anyway - beautiful interior, surrounded by funky little restaurants and bars, self-serve fruits and pastries available 24 hours, friendly staff. I stayed in a single room, which was cleverly laid out, so I never felt cramped.
One thing though, if your booking is made using your organisation's corporate credit card, you'll need the appropriate delegate from your organisation to sign a Credit Card Authorisation Form to present at check-in.

Hotel is very well placed to visit all the historic sights in the city and also close to a big bus tour stop. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Breakfast was included and was available until quite late morning. snacks were available all day. The rooms were not huge but adequate and bed was very comfortable. The hotel had a lovely feel to it and felt very welcome during our stay. There are some very good restaurants close by.

We really liked this hotel a lot. The staff was super friendly and helpful. The free Wi-fi was a big plus and the location is spot on. Its on 12th and spruce which is very close to almost every sight you wanna see in Philly. If u are used to walk a few blocks this is the best spot for you. We have been to the Loews before which is on Market and 12th but we liked the Alexander Inn much more. We definetly will come back again. The breakfast was also good. You have the choice of cereals, bagels, waffles, pastries, fruit, yogurt and so on. Very good for such a good price.

I highly recommend this to anybody who wants to see the birthplace of the nation.

Breakfast, great location, charming hotel, helpful staff, reduced parking, free wifi, computers available, clean, free printing of boarding passes, refrig in room, free snacks 24 hours, location was wonderful!

We stayed on the 5th floor. Since u r in the city, u will have some noise as expected but the air conditioner was louder than traffic.

This hotel is well located with good value. The staff are all very friendly and accommodating. The room was small (normal size for Europe) but well appointed. The breakfast was included and ran until noon on the weekend which I appreciated. The hotel itself is full of character.

You just cannot go wrong with this hotel. You can walk anywhere from here including all the important historic sites, reading terminal, restaurants, etc. The staff cannot be nicer. Always eager to assist you, polite and friendly. Based on similar quality hotels in the area, you can't beat the price. The rooms are clean, the breakfast is buffet style with breads, juice, coffee, cereals, fruit, hard boiled eggs, etc, a perfect way to start the day! Nothing fancy but it is a cozy inn with very personal service. It adds to the colonial feeling of being in Philadelphia.
