Just back from a 3 day reunion with 4 friends of almost 60 years. The rooms included two double beds and alcoves with 2 chairs and a small table. Everything was spotless. The staff is very friendly and courteous. They had several good sugestions on where to go to eat or to tour. Breakfast included cereal, hard boiled eggs, yogurt, coffee, juice and danish. It's walkable to the Liberty Bell and many other attractions.

Was very happy with room (7th floor overlooking 12th St. great city view) and location, tastefully renovated inc. hair dryer, iron/board very clean. The front desk was very helpful making reservations, giving us a list of the best food and entertainment. We ate one night at the Wall St. Supper Club great food and entertainment. Area was very clean with many places to stop for a drink, coffee or eat. Few blocks from Market ST. and access to all the historical sites.
We'll be going back there again. The price was right along with everything else. Enough don't want to bore you with a long review.

Room Tip: corner room with view facing 12th ST.

I stayed at the Alexander Inn for four nights in August and had a great time, overall. The staff was very friendly and the room (two double beds) was large and welcoming. The breakfast was fine. The location (walking distance to convention center and TONS of restaurants) was great. The only thing I thought was a little off was the elevator, which was not especially stable. Otherwise, I enjoyed my stay and would definitely stay here again.

MY 11-year-old son and I just returned from a delightful stay at this charming hotel. We didn't know anything about it prior to our arrival and picked it based on its central location. I can't tell you have pleasantly surprised we were. It's a great find - very clean, quiet, comfortable and a perfect location, in walking distance to all the major sites. The staff could not be more acommodating and the hotel offers a delicious (and filling) breakfast. If you're looking for a great bargain in Philly, look no further!

Room Tip: we stayed in 401 - sunny with lovely views of the neighborhood

Have used this hotel for the location. Staff was polite and helpful, room was too small for us and bed sheets were not clean and were wrinkled, breakfast was continental. Overall probably will stay again in this hotel because of location, but will go with larger room.

I would pay good money to stay here in future. This affordable boutique hotel is housed in an old building, which I loved with its stained glass, rich woodwork and comfortable beds. And the serve yourself breakfast with bagels and English muffins to toast, hard boiled eggs, fresh fruit, yogurt, etc. was free, a most welcome amenity since I was traveling with hungry teenagers! There was plenty of hot water with great pressure for a shower and the room temperature was fine. The windows opened, too, which is nice, and when closed kept out all the noise from the street (we were on the second floor). Ask about parking discounts before you arrive - if you park in their partner lot, you get a discount. We had already parked and paid elsewhere, so too bad for us. The desk staff were helpful and courteous, too.
