Cheapest way to get around main tourist area of Philadelphia. Drivers were really nice and told us about the city. Highly recommended.

We loved the Philly Phlash, and were so happy that indeed, the buses came 'round frequently. I loved the air conditioned trolleys, and nice safe drivers...we really "did the town" thanks to Phlash. We loved visiting the Rodin Museum and Garden, the Philadelphia Art Museum and wanna say "Thanks Phlash!!!!"

We did a complete circle on the Phlash to see the sites of Philadelphia before deciding on where we wanted to spend our limited time in the city. It was a great way to sightsee from Penn Landing all the way to the Museum and much cheaper than the open and tour buses. Just look for the purple and gold signs signifying the stops and showing a map of stops. Unfortunately they only run until 6:00 PM so plan accordingly if you will be traveling after that time.

We used the Phlash during our one-day visit to Philadelphia after reading reviews online. First of all, the deal has changed slightly, it's still $2 a ride or you can buy 7 tickets for $10 at the Indepedence Visitor Center. You can't get the $5 'all day rider' style ticket anymore but you can still get money off your parking until 7pm (used to be 6pm). We paid $10 for all day parking and $10 for 7 tickets and it meant we could see everything we wanted in one day, albeit a flying visit!

The Phlash itself is great value when you compare it to the $30+ you will usually spend on trolley tours, and all the guides we came across were friendly and knowledgable. Really useful to get to the art museum and back if you don't have time for the walk, or do what we did and take the Phlash one way and walk back! Would highly recommend it as a cheap and cheerful way to get around.

I read about the Phlash Trolley before we left for Philly but we did not know where to get it or where it went in the city. We spotted a brochure in the Visitor's Center near the Liberty Bell Center. We found out the purple & gold trolley stops right outside.

It costs $2 ride, but if you are a senior you just have to show your Medicare Card. We took this trolley to City Hall, Reading Terminal Market, Macy's to see the famous organ, Rittenhouse Square, Penn's Landing, Love Park, the Rocky steps...it goes by the Rodin Museum as well. It saved us a lot of walking. The seats are the wooden slats type so not super comfortable.

The operator's were pleasant...one in particular gave a history of the upcoming stops. If you want to save time getting to some of the attractions this is the way to go.
