and was not impressed with this Hotel at all, room was extremely small (it was clean), comes w/ continenal bkfst, very drab lobby, the only security was after a certain time they locked front doors & needed yr room key to enter .....it's behind the new convention center and adjacent to some hostels/hospices, which led to some very shady lookin characters mulling around, did not sit well with me & my husband.....the location was okay, very close to chinatown, and walking to most attractions. Knowing this hotel now I would stay closer to the Visitors center. Sorry I just couldn't give this hotel a good rating.

You can't beat the price for any place walking distance to everything in Philly. While it is fun to located in China town, it's not so nice to be next to homeless shelter. No one has bothered us or anything, but it does feel a bit sketchy. The hotel itself is basically what you pay for. Small-ish rooms, clean and quiet enough. The pillows are like boulders, but the beds are fine. No king size beds though :-(
Anyway, if you are on a budget, it is perfectly fine. If you can afford $50-70 more or so per night, you can find nicer places (there is a new Four Points on the same block). If you are flying in, you can take the train from the airport to Market St. station (for $7) and walk 10 mins to hotel.
Reading Terminal Market is two blocks away...super yummy and cheap-ish eats.

Room Tip: Room 401 was in a quiet corner.
