My expectations were rather low for this hotel as it is an airport hotel. But, as it is a Marriott, I did expect a basic ,consistent level of service. My expectations were exceeded. I was only a guest for just one night, but, I was impressed. The staff was very friendly and pleasant. The rooms were very nice and comfortable. They must be sound proofed, as I did not hear any airport noise. I would stay here again.

Booked this hotel to be close to airport for early am flight home, restaurant had a dirty flor, was slow slow service, which I rewarded with no TIp,waitress not amused.Asked front desk to change some coinage, sorry cannot help, same answer in hotel shop.
Room was no better than any airport hotel, but certainly not worth the 309.00 dollars a night
MY overall impression of this very lack lustre hotel was that it did not live up to the normal HIgh standards set by MArriott, lacking in customer service and a very poor restaurant service.
I would certainly recommend other hotels in area.

Stayed one night in route back from overseas trip – very convenient in that it is a two minute walk to Terminal B/C. Be advised that the hotel runs a shuttle bus to the other terminals at PHL for a good reason – they are very spread out with no connecting train. Gold Status gained me an upgrade to the Concierge Floor, but even with AAA discount, this property is way overpriced, but it has no real competition. Concierge Level food choices were pathetic. The restaurant food was terrible and the service, while very friendly and attentive, took forever. We should have bought some food in the PHL airport before we left the secure gate area – there are no other options within walking distance. The front desk staff was also very professional. The rooms have all been recently remodeled, and the bedding was superb. However, the building is quite old, and there was a foul, sewer like smell in the hallway, which slightly permeated our room. I have a hound dog nose, and my wife did not notice the smell in the room. If you have more time, consider the Spring Hill Suites in nearby Ridley Park (free airport shuttle) – but it has no restaurant and is in a very marginal neighborhood.

Flight came in at Midnight and I am a Marriott awards member so I tried to see if there was a room available. It was the week of the US Open so I new going in it was a longshot. I asked the girl at the desk if they had any rooms and she said no and looked back down. I interrupted and asked her if there were any other Marriott properties and she said no and looked back down. I then interrupted her again and asked if there were any other hotels in the area she would recommend and she said no and looked back down. I left and went across the street to the Hilton and asked the same questions. They originally told me there were no rooms but immediately got on the phone and starting calling around to other hotels and after 15 minutes decided to give me one of the handicap rooms at their hotel. That's how you do it Marriott! Stay at the Hilton if your in Philly.

I recently stayed overnight fter flying in from Europe, before returning home early the next morning. Check-in was very easy, and service was fine. I ate downstairs in the lobby, and food was decent enough. The problem I am seeing with Marriott's is that the quality of amenities and towels is very poor. For the price that is being charged, better quality products should be used in the bathrooms. It seems veru cheap to charge so much and offer so little.

Pros: You can literally walk straight from the Terminal B baggage claim into the hotel without ever stepping outside, very cushy bed, soundproof windows (never heard a plane), modern and clean, really nice gym (included free water bottles, fruit, and even headphones), expansive gift shop (lots of Philly souvenirs and Starbucks coffee), free New York Times in the lobby, Bath & Body Works toiletries, nice decor (that you can actually buy from a catalog), the bar/restaurant was open until at least 1:00 am, featured a cozy atmosphere, and offered food to go, and the music throughout the public areas was surprisingly modern (no soft rock...they actually played Deathcab for Cutie).

Cons: The clearance on the parking garage was an astoundingly short 6'2! I couldn't fit my car in their so I had to pay $40 a night for parking on the bottom level! There was no microwave or fridge in the room. Wifi costs 12.95 (although free on the 1st and 2nd floor it's free). Food was expensive including breakfast and room service.

This hotel needs an upgrade badly. Expensive for the quality of the room and lack of free wi-fi. Still need to catch a bus to the terminals - despite being close. Bed was uncomfortable and rooms not adequately sound- attenuated. Front desk service was pleasant enough. No mini-bar available in room.
