From past experiences and a lot of stays in hotels, I have a rather bad opinion about Sheraton hotels. They are often ruined-down, in desperate need of renovation or even fixing and with poor service.

This is not the case at all with this hotel. Staff from bellman to front desk was very useful and courteous. The atrium lobby is almost spectacular and has large tables to work and many seating options. It even had apples to take !

I got upgraded, as a SPG Gold member, to a very nice room. Everything was in perfect order and well maintained. The working desk was very good. So was the wifi. The bed was comfortable.

The hotel is very well located at the center of Old City and at a short walking distance of many restaurants.

I had a very pleasant stay at this hotel and really consider this as a Sheraton well-done. I hope they would be more of these.

Thank you for your comments, they were past onto our staff at our Monthly celebration events. We love our hotel, especially from the multi million dollar renovation we completed in April, 2012 and our staff is Top Notch ! We look forward to your return visit to us !

My husband and I stayed at the Sheraton Society Hill May 2014. It was just for the night. The hotel was clean and tidy and the staff professional, courteous and quick.
The rooms were your standard hotel room. One bed (unbelievably comfy) with fantastic pillows. A desk, chair and of course the bathroom. The breakfast in Taste on Sunday was your typical buffet, but everything was hot and plentiful.
The location was wonderful. The Sheraton is in a quiet part of the city, but just a few blocks away from great eateries, bars and clubs. I would definitely stay here again

Room Tip: We stayed on the 4th floor. Not much of a view, unless you like the Walt Whitman bridge. The room it...

The hotel is your run-of-the-mill 4 star Sheraton, not exactly luxurious, but modern and clean. The location is great for walking around the Old City - the City Tavern, est in 1773 is right around the corner. Independence Hall and the Liberty Bell is about a 15 minute walk away. It's also a 5 minute walk to Penn's Landing where there are restaurants, more bars, and convenience stores/pharmacies. However, if you're looking more for a modern city vibe, this is not the place to be.

From the moment we came in everything was lovely. I had a free night through their rewards program and it was the club level which is very nice. We arrived around 3:30 and you could tell there were many events going on. The desk line was short enough and when I reached the desk they were very apologetic and said the room was not quite ready. They offered me another and said we could have immediate access to the club room. They estimated a half hour wait, and since my husband was parking at an off site lot, I said I'd wait in the lovely lobby. They took my cell number to call me. They were true to the time and they gave us a full breakfast voucher , which is not much more than we saw being served in the club room, which has a cappuccino machine. That was very nice just for waiting a bit plus they gave me a 2PM checkout.

Our room was lovely and they have more bathroom amenities than I have ever seen. Shaving cream! They give mini net shower scrubbers. The club room had great snacks and lovely hor'd'ourves, you can buy wine or beer or bring your own into the club room.

Breakfast was a nice simple buffet. We enjoyed the pool for a few hours before our checkout.

The price is well worth the hotel and location and they have many deals. I live in Philadelphia and we came in for my Birthday. It was a lovely get away.

Room Tip: Windows are well insulated.

We stayed here, approximately twenty years ago. I distinctly remember the courtyard, below the rooms, but it since has been cosmetically improved. Although all staff members were genuinely friendly and accommodating, the front desk seemed a little disorganized and harried, during our registration (even though we had booked our room, over two months in advance). If you are looking for a location next to the historic sites of Philadelphia and the riverfront, this hotel will not disappoint you. Their restaurant servers were excellent, even though the food at their in-house restaurant (Taste) was not memorable. If you have the time, explore the neighborhood for more interesting cuisine. We are looking forward to the new restaurant that will replace the nearby old Bookbinder's location. Check out the close-by Independence Seaport Museum, to be transported back in time. To insure a quiet night's sleep, ask for a quiet room not facing the courtyard or the noisy parkway. We will return here, again, should the occasion arrive.

Great place. Very friendly staff. Great lobby and very well kept. Our room was spacious and extremely clean. Very comfortable bed and amazing pillows. Although, we did not get a chance to visit the restaurant or the bar, we had access to the Club which offered all kind of soft drinks, coffee, fresh fruits, granola bars and other munchies. This room was available 24 hours at no extra charge. Perfect location, it is within walking distance to most attractions. We will definitely choose this hotel for our next stay in Philly. Highly recommended

Great hotel. Friendly staff, nice neighborhood, overall a cool fun place, wish we had more time to spend there. Lobby was really big and nicely laid out. Big pool, with plenty of seating around. Good sized bar.
