This is an older property that has recently been redone. As a result, the rooms, common areas etc. are in good shape, but the "bones" of the hotel are essentially that of a 1970s building. The HVAC is older and noisy at times. We stayed on the "club floor" which is also near the gym and the pool, both of which are pretty good--- unlike many gyms, this has good natrual light. The club benefits are very helpful--- good breakfast, a good coffee maker that makes cappucinos etc., and hors d'oervers at night. Also, free wifi (I hate to pay for wifi!)
Another main benefit of this hotel is its location--- right in old city, an easy walk to all historic attractions and to center city.
We would go back to this hotel. The rate for the weekend was in the mid $200s each night, which was quite competitive for the Philly market. We also think this Sheraton is preferable to the center city Sheraton, both as to location and in terms of the facility itself.More
