“Perfect!!!”
Reviewed August 18, 2013

Was just doing an overnight stay with kids to visit the historic sites and wanted a hotel within walking distance to everything, and I found it!!!!!!! This hotel was the perfect location for us, literally right down the street from Independence Hall, the Librty Bell and most f the other historic sites. The room was very clean with a nice view towards the Penn's Landing area, we watched fireworks from our hotel room window. The hotel staff was awesome!!!!!!! Very accommodating to anything we needed......... definitely would stay again !

I was pleasantly surprised by this hotel. You can't beat the location - I walked to Old City in two minutes and Independence Hall was literally across the street. I had a nice king bed on the 12th floor with a great view of Independence Hall. Everything was clean and the staff were friendly. I had my car valet parked rather than trying to find a garage and that worked out well. It's $37 for 24 hours and you can get your car as many times as you need. I would definitely consider staying here again because the location can't be beat and the room rates are very reasonable considering how close the hotel is to various tourist attractions.

We enjoyed our stay at the beautiful Omni Hotel at Independence Park. The rooms were spacious, clean and well-appointed. But what is simply out-standing about this hotel is its unbeatable proximity to Independence Park. Literally just steps away from Independence Hall and the Liberty Bell, this hotel is the perfect place to stay when visiting Historic Old Philadelphia. Just around the corner is the Bourse Building at Independence Mall with a food court and various specialty shops. If you want to take a tour of the city, the kiosk for Philadelphia Sightseeing Tours is also just around the corner. Across the street, is the Carpenters House, the meeting place of the first Continental Congress. We couldn't have asked for a more perfect hotel choice based upon our interests and needs. My only complaint is the parking arrangements. There is no hotel parking lot. The hotel uses the Bourse parking structure around the block which charges $20+ dollars per day for self-parking with no in-and-out privileges. For hotel valet services (also parked in the Bourse lot), the costs are almost double, although in-and-out privileges come with the valet parking. Our issue was that because we got into town late, we had hoped to check into the hotel, park our car, take a city tour and then unload our luggage later in the evening. However, according to the hotel staff, the Bourse lot is not a safe place to store luggage in the car. This was unexpected and a problem for us when we were on a tight schedule. Besides the disappointing parking situation, we were happy with the hotel and, especially, with the amazing location.

Great location. Great property. Loved my room, comfy bed, fast internet, nice flat screen television. Next time I'll ask for a better view though, I overlooked the inner square of the hotel so just brick walls. You are right in the middle of everything - all the history is within walking distance and you're a short taxi ride to the museums. Lots of restaurants and pubs to choose from. Rate was more reasonable than I was expecting. Next time I'm in Philly it's my first choice for certain.

If you are a jogger, you're about a 5-6 mile round trip from the Rocky statue which was a great run and easy to get to. Lots of joggers doing the same thing - touristy but rewarding also!

Room Tip: I didn't see public parking when I first drove up so I just did valet. There's a public park...

We stayed here to visit colleges in the area. The Kimpton down the street was full so we opted for the Omni. Good stay overall thanks to the high level of service but a fairly standard experience otherwise. We are used to the Kimpton brand so our expectations are probably higher than most but would definitely recommend this hotel if you are travelling through Philly. Most everything is within walking distance.
