“Great location and impressive service”
Reviewed June 25, 2013

It takes a lot to impress me. I typically do not chose omni but I chose this one for its location. Perfectly located to all historical sites. A staff that is friendly and accommodating . Spacious room. I could not have chosen better .

It's a nice hotel, but beware if constant thumping of base drums bothers you.

We were on the 5th floor and there was a wedding going on downstairs. We could here it loud and clear until the wedding ended. In the lobby it was incredibly loud. There's not much the hotel could about it either - other than apologize.

I've had really good experiences with Omni, but this was disappointing.

Room Tip: Ask if there's a wedding going on. If there is, ask to be on the highest floor possible!

I stayed here recently on a trip to USA. Very comfortable, pleasant welcoming staff, great food in the Restaurant. Quiet even though it is very central to the histiric precinct. I was able to walk to all the historic places and felt safe doing so.

Room Tip: Think most rooms overlook the park with views of the city

I do not have one negative thing to say about this hotel. It is centrally located from the Historic Area of Philly. So if you are in town to see the sights, get this hotel. 2/3 blocks away from the Liberty Bell/Independence Hall/Visitor Center. 2/3 Blocks away from the area where there is one restaurant after another. No matter which way you head when you walk out of the hotel, you will find something that is on your agenda. Transportation to get to the other areas that are not so close, just a couple of blocks away right by the Visitor Center. Go there first! That's where you get your Free Tickets into Independence Hall and try to do that first because you have to go through Security Screening which can be about a half hour in line when there are a lot of people going in. Early morning there is not a lot of people so my suggestion, don't do breakfast first. Go to the Visitor Center, get your tickets to Independence Hall, then depending on what time your Tour is, either go straight there or go on the line for the Liberty Bell because that is another thing that has security screening but in the morning, its much smaller lines. By the way, that's free as well. There are quite a few exhibits/museums that are free. Another thing to do in the Visitor Center is decide which Bus Tour you want to do. We did the Big Bus Co and we sat up top on one of the Double Decker buses. It was a lot of fun. 90 minutes long if you stay on it but you can hop on and hop off for up to 24 hours from when you buy the passes. If you buy them online, you still need to go to the counter inside the Visitor Center to activate it. It was kind of pricey, $26 for adults, $10 for kids but if you use it all day to go see all the sights you want to see around town, it's worth it. There is also $2 trolley ride that goes to just a few specific sights. If those are the only places you want to see, then that may be more affordable for you. I did the Duck Tour but to be honest, it was not that good. The only fun part was going into the water, and it's not like there is much to see from the water. It is kind of a waste of time. Take the Double Decker buses instead. More fun, more informative and you can get on and get off all day. Hotel was very nice. Valet, Bellhop. All your needs were met by the front desk whenever I called.

My wife and I stayed here over the past weekend and found the hotel to be quiet, staff was friendly, the room clean and the location close to historic sights excellent. They provided coffee and newspapers for free in the lobby, and there was a little coffee maker in the room as well. We stayed in an end corner room (1011) which had a nice view of the park. We would easily stay here again.

I chose this hotel as it was two blocks east of Independence Hall, Congress Hall and the Liberty Bell. Three to four blocks east lies Penn's Landing and north lies Christ Church, Betsy Ross Home and Elfreth's Alley. Multiple dinning options were available in the area. We found the room to be clean and modern. We had minor problems initially with the radio and toilet, however the staff corrected them quickly. Outside the window was a beautiful park. In the basement they have a clean swimming pool, hot tub and towels. Parking was offered for $27 extra, but that is the going rate for public parking. I would not hesitate to bring my family here again.

Price of the room was inflated due to "Philly beer week". Pool closes at 7pm on Sunday, just when I wanted to use it. I searched for and paid for 2 Queen beds, I got 2 double beds. Had a drink at the in house bar, could have bought a full bottle for the cost. I parked in a different garage a block away saved 50% off the hotels rate. They have no soda or snack machines anywhere in the hotel. There was 2 easy chairs but no table between them. I called and asked for them to put one in my room. Was told they had none. I said " I never saw a room without a table before" Was told by front desk. He wasn't the guy that designed the rooms.

Room Tip: Don't go during a Philly event. Plenty of price gouging going on. Rooms? I only stayed in one. D...
