“Excellent visit over Thanksgiving”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 30, 2013

Compared to other center city properties we've stayed at, the Loews does a nice job and consistently offers a good experience. Our toddler enjoyed the skyline views and the breakfast setup was excellent as usual. The lady managing the continental breakfast service does a fantastic job - I think her name is Kim. We were there for the alarm that sounded at 6 am and while it should have been communicated much better, I didn't think it was a big deal as the front desk was very helpful when I called. Will definitely be back.

The alarm went off in the middle of the night telling you it was an emergency alarm and not to use stairs or elevators. We had children who were very scared. Emergencies occur I get it. However, a person went to give instructions 3 times and the speaker system didn't work. It would start with "Your attention please... Your attention please. The alarm......"and then nothing else. It was as if someone was playing a sick trick on you. This terrified our children! We come to Philly multiple times a year and had started to always come to Loews. No more..

Stayed at this lovely Hotel two nights where the employees were all mannerly and could not do enough for you, From the bell hop to the 33rd floor, nothing was left to chance. Enjoyed lunch on the 33rd floor, as they had a delicious selection and were quick to assist with wine and beer selections. The room was clean, bed comfortable, and magnificient views of Philadelphia. Did not get a chance to check out the gym, maybe next time. If I need to stay in Philly in the future, the Loew's Hotel will be home for me.

Room Tip: I was able to find parking much cheaper than the hotel had to offer. Hopefully the establishment can...

I stayed here recently for a few days at the convention center. Compared to the other hotels in the area, it was a great value. It is in a tall building that was converted from the former Philadelphia Savings Fund Society headquarters. The lobby/main entrance is undergoing some renovations, so you need to enter from the 12th Street side, and what looks like temporary location. The desks are always fully staffed and the staff works fast to keep the process moving since the temporary space is limited. The restaurant is also located on the 33rd Floor now...

The room was clean, comfortable, with an in room safe that would seem to fit s 15.6 laptop. Excellent toiletries were provided. The bed was very comfortable. The TV had a complete selection of channels. A downside was a $12.95 daily fee for internet access. That for was for the 'non-premium' access... There is no refrigerator or microwave in the room.

I didn't use the other facilities or use the restaurant.

Overall, a good value, in the middle of downtown,

Stayed at this hotel for 4 nights for a business conference which was actually across the street. The hotel wowed me in many categories; the room design, the space, the staff customer service and the attention they are giving to preserving this landmark building. The biggest surprise were my daily visits to the 33rd floor to photograph the stunning skyline in different time of the day/light.

The customer service at this hotel is truly outstanding and I clearly see the difference in staying at Loews vs. the major business hotels!

The gym was also very convenient and a nice treat.

Attended a conference at the convention center and not sure I would ever stay anywhere else if I had to again in Philly. It's across the street from Market East and the Convention Center.

Service was outstanding. Friendly, helpful staff... from housekeepers to concierge. Incredibly consistent from role to role. How is no one simply going through the motions? Whatever... I loved it.

Lobby/restaurant renovations under way, but even that wasn't much of an issue. The temporary Level 33 restaurant/lounge has incredible views, good food and service.

Room was fantastic. Had a view east and that came with a full view of the Ben Franklin Bridge. The view looking west as seen from the lounge might be one of the best urban views in a hotel on the east coast.

Comfortable room, too! Plenty of room to move. Good workstation in the room. No street noise. And had a pretty fantastic rate, at that.

Loved it. Would stay here over and over.

Room Tip: Honestly, if you can get the west-facing view from a higher floor... man.

The rooms are spacious and modern but comfortable. The view of the city is superb. Our rate was fantastic for a Holiday winter getaway. Not impressed with the option of paying $13/night for wifi or the fact that guest services wasn't accommodating as we arrived earlier than expected due to bad weather. Breakfast prices are on the expensive side also so be prepared or look for package deals to include when booking. Great hotel nonetheless and I highly recommend. Will definitely stay again.
