“Comfortable room, friendly staff”
Reviewed October 6, 2011

This was a quick, one night stay for business. The staff was very friendly and helpful in finding where the meetings were happening. Room was very good and nice and quiet. The room was discounted with the meeting, so not sure on the value to the general traveller.

The Four Seasons is our 'go to' place for celebrations and, again, the incredible staff made it worth the $$$. From check-in to passing a maid in the hall, everyone was exceptional, knowlegeable and out-going in a non-intrusive way. Dinner in the Four Seasons included a Calvados sauce on my dessert and, becaue of that, I made mention of an upcoming trip to Normandy in spring of 2012. Then ... poof ... one of their extremely knowledgeable wait staff showed up during the cheese course to ask if I wanted to know about the Camemberts of Normandy (he's spent some time there and was extraordinarily knowledgeable). And, at dessert, the sommelier visited the table and provided me with a lesson (as I mentioned I was a brandy novice) on Calvados. Yes, the hotel is lovely, the beds couldn't be softer, the location is wonderful ... but, it's the staff that fuels this lovely luxury hotel.

Room Tip: The rooms overlooking Logan Circle are really lovely and provide a beautiful view, daytime and night...

Stayed at the Ritz the last time and the rooms were small. The Four Seasons continues to WOW. the formal dining room was amazing but ooohh the beds and pillows like sleeping on a cloud. The service is professional and polished. The bell staff excellent. If only all hotels were like the Four Seasons Philly we would not have to write reviews!!

Stayed here for a long weekend a couple of weeks ago. Everyone at the four season is always so nice and the rooms are typically well kept. Would stay her again next time we're in Philly.

This was my 8th Stay at the Four Seasons in Philadelphia & it's still the best hotel, in a city with not many Luxury hotels to choose from. I'm a huge Four Seasons fan & while this is one of their older properties, it's very nice, clean & has a great location!

I arrived early around 9am & my room was ready & they had also upgraded me to a Fountain view room, which was incredibly nice & so kind of the Front Desk...thanks guys! The doormen were very attentive, warmly welcomed me to the hotel & the Front Desk Agent that checked me in was so warm, friendly, polite, utterly professional & was exactly the amazing welcome that FS in known to give. I believe her name was Cegee- she was fantastic!! (apologize in advance for the spelling). I have seen her at the Front Desk many times over the years, so she's obviously very good at her job! Please make sure she is recognized for this review!

My room (637) had a lovely view of Logan Sq, the Fountain, & the Art Museum. The rooms on the other side of the hotel overlook a small courtyard & as a result are very quiet. However, my room was very quiet as well, even though it fronted a busy street. The rooms are large, have the standard L'Occitane bath products all FS hotels carry, a large flat screen with very clear reception, spacious desk, amazing bed....The rooms at this hotel are great to come home to while visiting. My bathroom was missing Q-tips & Shampoo, but after I saw the turndown room attendant, she quickly helped me out with these items & was very apologetic....it was no problem at all. The rooms are very comfortable & smell amazing, as well. I guess I love the room scent that is used! It seems all FS hotels have a certain lovely smell in all rooms:)

I had room service several times & a lovely afternoon tea in the Fountain restaurant, & all of the food was great. I wasn't a huge fan of the Onion Soup, but thats just my personal preference. The breakfast food is really good, Room service is very good about handling special requests for Dinner (Debbie in In-Room dining is amazing.!!), & the Scones at tea are always delicious!

I love that I can walk to Rittenhouse Square, Walnut St, Callowhill, etc. all from the hotel within 10 minutes. The lobby of the hotel is very lush & a nice place to relax. Overall, it's the best hotel in Philadelphia & it's my favorite hotel in the city. I look forward to returning very soon!

Best,
Patrick Winkler

I recently stayed at the Four Seasons hotel in Philadelphia on business and I was very impressed with the hotel, the staff and especially with the guest room. The room service was outstanding but very expensive. I ordered hot chocolate, which was by far the best hot chocolate I have ever had, but after the service charge and tip, it cost $25! I also had lunch in their restaurant, and the food and the service were both great. I liked the location as well. I highly recommend this hotel.

Wonderful property with attentive staff, great food, and outstanding room accommodations. The location is not great, particularly weeknights and weekends when the streets are deserted. If you dont mind a few blocks walk you have shopping and restaurants available.
