We had dinner here on a Sunday evening and were pleasantly surprised to learn that it was 'tasting menu' night. We enjoyed all selections from both the vegan and traditional menus and all was superbly prepared and presented flawlessly. We topped it off with the delicious rice pudding and outstanding lemon yogurt mousse! Superb! Hightly recommend!

Kanella offers a Mediterranean menu featuring a blend of the typical and the unusual. Kanella is a BYOB. There are a variety of places to pick up a bottle nearby.

I had grilled octopus with arugula salad dressed with a lemony vianigrette, a whole marinated spatchcocked grilled poussin (Rock /cornish game hen) with orzo and green beans in a sublime-ly herby,tomato-y sauce and galaktoboureko (filo and custard pastry) served warm with an orange-honey sauce. It was sublime experience. All ingredients perfectly fresh, all dishes served as soon as they were prepared.

Wait staff professional: attentive and pleasant but not over intrusive. Atmosphere very pleasant. There is outdoor seating but be aware the Kanella is located at a busy intersection; if you are planning an intimate tete-a-tete, inside is better. Also, if you are planning to dine at peak hours, reserve.

I have been to this place several times. The food is always outstanding, everything is delicious. If I could i would eat here few times a week. The fact that it is a byob makes it very affordable. Can't wait to return.

We drove from Massachusetts just to eat at this Mediterranean inspired restaurant. It's simply amazing. The service, food and chef/owner all add up to one of the best eateries I have ever visited.
