“Interesting and historical”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 29, 2013

It just takes a donation to enter, and it was worth it to see the historical church. There was a woman talking about it, so we listened in for a few and looked around on our own.

“Fascinating history”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 28, 2013

The church is lovely, and very interesting from a historical point of view. One of the curators was giving a talk to a group of students when we arrived and didn't mind if others sat and listened. He was fascinating. From pointing out Ben Franklin's family pew to explaining the history of the building, it was a great overview of the whole area's history.

“Very Informative”

The woman who gave us a quick tour was great! She was very informative and got to the details our kids were interested in.

Got our pictures taken where Ben Franklin and George Washington sat

“Wildly Knowledgeable Docent”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 24, 2013

The docent on duty had a phenomenal amount of historical and sometimes obscure knowledge. This beautiful Episcopal church was built between 1732 and 1757. At one time, it's steeple was the tallest building in the 13 colonies.

“It is a working church, not a park attraction”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 23, 2013

Amazing history took place in and around this little church. Definitely visit the cemetery while you are in the area.

However, remember that this is still a working church and not a park attraction and set expectations (and attitudes) accordingly. The volunteers do a very nice job, if you hit the timing right and aren't in the middle of another tour group.
