Christ Church and its burial ground are situated slightly apart from one another (on a map it's a big plot of land but the burial ground has its own gate). You can visit the grave of Ben Franklin and other notable people. Make sure to go to the church itself as it's very beautiful and the staff is really informative. There is a small fee to get into the cemetery but the church is donations only. Ask the staff about the baptismal font--it's so old you won't believe it!

I would have loved to have gone inside but time did not allow. They have great volunteers dressed up in period costumes. I highly recommend!

We received an unexpected "mini-tour" when one of the historians overheard us talking about the burial sites outside the entrance to the church. We also were lucky and were there wen the organist was practicing. Wihat a powerful presence; truly a sacred space. Visit Bishop Whites house if you get the chance. Free tickets at the Welcome Ceunter, but tours are small so go early to get a reserved space.

First, the church is beautiful......historic...... And I wanted our English friends to see what we imported back in the 1700's. But low and behold, a wedding was taking place and we were like the virgins who didn't have oil in their lamps.....we were not allowed in. Have to take them for a visit to Christ Church during their next visit over the pond.

Interesting history in that local historicals rented a pew there, but otherwise a very plain church.
