“Sit where Washington worshiped”

A truly magnificent church. The pews where Washinton and Franklin worshiped are marked with brass plaques. There is someone to give you a brief tour and some history of the church

“Historic church where George Washington and Others Worshipped”
Reviewed September 12, 2011

A visit to this church was very interesting. You can sit in the pews where George and Martha Washington, Ben Franklin, Betsy Ross, and other signers of the Declaration worshiped. You will see that Betsy Ross's pew was just next to George Washington's so they often talked together. Once Betsy Ross's husband died, I can see that George Washington felt asking her to make the flag to help give her some income.
There is a donation of $3 per person and you will find it worthwhile. Note their grave yard that has the grave of Ben Franklin is located a few blocks away.
The sell a Faith and Freedom map in their gift shop that is worthwhile.

“Fun little stop!”

We had a fun visit here. Just to sit where Washington sat was worth the visit. A beautiful place to visit.

“One of my favorite things to see in Philadelphia!”
Reviewed July 3, 2011

We went with a group of 6 kids (12yrs-4yrs) and we all enjoyed it. The woman giving the history of the church was awesome. She was so informative and made it interesting for young and old alike. The church itself is absolutely beautiful and has an incredible history. This should be a must see for anyone visiting Philadelphia!

“Save your money”
Reviewed June 30, 2011

We were on a week-long sightseeing trip so maybe that has something to do with it, but in hindsight this would've been one to skip. You can see Ben's grave site from the outside and can wander the graveyard for free, so if you feel the need do that. But I don't think the guided tour was worth much.
