This is a must-see for anyone who enjoys American history. Tours every 1/2 hour take you through Independence Hall. See where the Declaration of Independence was signed, and the actual of chair of George Washington is on display. I loved the grounds surrounding Independence Hall, particularly the cobblestone streets, which are original. The tour is a bit tedious, especially if you are already familiar with the history, but don't miss this stop on tour of Philadelphia.

Our quirky and entertaining Park ranger gave a great tour, filled personality. The average American citizen probably (hopefully) won't learn too much new information, but it's very exciting putting the "place" to the "story". You can almost feel the ghosts.

For every visitor to Philadelphia Independence Hall should be required! A walk thru the spare but handsome chambers where the Founders met (in secret in 1776) to debate & forge the Declaration of Indpendence & US Constitution in 1787 - to this day prototypes for democracy around the world - underscores their remarkable achievement & foresight.

As always, the US Park Rangers are well-informed & entertaining guides, who help make real in the visitor's imagination the dramatic scene in the sweltering chamber in the summer of 1776, when Benjamin Franklin said: "Gentlemen, we hang together of we hand separately!"

In the spring, when my granddaughters visit Philadelphia, a tour of Independence Hall will be their first stop, followed by lunch a few blocks away at historic City Tavern, where the Founders met between sessions to discuss their efforts over cold beers & local fare, which visitors today still can enjoy.

The exhibition is well organized and focused around the highlights of the history of the Liberty Bell. I really enjoyed it!

The explanation given by the guide was very good and interesting. It's not a long visit, I don't think the furniture inside is original and the place is actually smaller that I thought, but it was still worth it. The bad thing for us was that once you pass the security check up you still have to wait inline outside and it was freezing! So don't go in too soon before your scheduled visit.
