We stopped at Reading Market twice on a recent visit to Philadelphia. Very fun. Clean, expansive and lots of food choices, some grocery & some prepared. Had very good lasagna at By George (near 1st street/avenue and mid-market). Also had some pretzel-wrapped hotdogs. They were great. Purchased plenty of produce, bakery and freshly-squeezed juice for later snacking. Wish we could have tried more food but there's only so much room in a stomach. Would take weeks to try all of the interesting options. Parking in the area is pretty expensive but the Market has a deal with the Gallery Garage at 11th & Arch. Buy at least $10 of goods from any of the vendors, get your ticket endorsed and you pay just $4 for up to 2hrs of parking. Without doing this, you'll pay close to $20 for 2hrs parking most anywhere within a block or two of the Market. Location is about a 6-8 block walk from the Constitution Hall area. If I worked in downtown Philly, I'd be at Reading Market several times every week.
