You get a real feel of the city here with a vast variety of places to eat and buy food. So many different cuisines. It was difficult to choose which. We ended at a counter in a great place and really enjoyed the food.

Your senses are assaulted by the smells and crowds but it's a "must see" place, especially at lunchtime when locals and tourists fight for a place to sit down.

What a fun place! There is food of all sorts including baked goods, candy, homemade preserves, butchered meats, cooked pastas, cheese steaks, sushi, and the list goes on and on. We sampled a cheese steak, potato latkes, soft pretzels, and some candy. All were delicious and definitely felt like an authentic Philadelphia experience. The market was crowded on a Saturday afternoon but that added to the fun atmosphere. This was well worth a visit.

I wish I had the capacity to enjoy the the never ending variety of foods offered here.

From Lancaster fresh produce to expertly custom butchered meats to sweets and treats and to sushi and amazing pizza.......it just never ends!

This is right across from the Convention Center and near all the sights Philly has to offer without bothering with a car.

Make the side trip here and bring your appetites. Bon appetit!

I just adore this market and too bad we don't have one like this in my neighborhood. There are so many places to eat and they are all affordable. I really like the fact that you can choose from different types of cuisines, and they are all excellent. In the end the problem was just you don't know which places to eat! Do try the home made beef jerky place, which I forgot the name, I ended up purchasing $50 worth of beef jerky to take home! OMG! I would just go back there for the beef jerky.

This is a world-class attraction: it is worth visiting not only as a food venue but also as a thriving market in the centre of a vibrant city. As other reviews have pointed out, one can choose from a wide variety of different cuisines, of which the local dishes are the main draw. We hope the opening hours could be longer, to cater to the large number of visitors as well as local foodies.
