This is a great hotel to stay while in Philly. The location is great, the staff especially the front desk staff are friendly and very upbeat. Maybe it pays to be a member, anywhere, although you don't always book Hilton. We came here to use the conference room so Hubby could do his business there, and at the end of the day decided to stay over. It was quite pricey but give and take the cost to find another hotel nearby would be the same. We had a chance to use the Executive lounge, which I thought was beautiful although the lounge is small. At the conference, we were served by the hotel's catering food. The food was surprisingly above average, which includes steak, fish, salad and desserts. Since Hubby had to do the deals at the conference 2 days in a row, so we got to eat on both days. The second day fish was my favorite trout! The first day steak was crazy! Crazy good that is, juicy and tender. The Executive Lounge is located on one of the highest floors, could be 29 if I'm not mistaken. The views of building in Philly from the same street were amazing during sunrise and sunset. Hubby's a member and maybe being a member is required to use the Executive lounge but do check with the front desk to make sure. Our room was pretty big and comfortable. I tried using the business center but unfortunately the printer didn’t work well. I had to call the staff but that didn't work either. Maybe they need to have this room checked more often although it seems no one's using it. All in all, not a bad choice to stay at this elegant hotel.

Right in the heart of Center City Philly, this well run hotel is in the perfect location for a visit to the city. Warm and friendly personnel, from the bell hops to the desk clerks, made our stay easier, too. Our room was clean and bright, with an excellent view. The bed was quite comfortable. We had no complaints at all, except that our room (although equipped with fridge, safe, iron & ironing board, hairdryer, and other usual amenities) lacked a microwave. Minor issue, at best. When we visit the city, we will stay here again.

This is an older hotel without much charm inside or outside. The rooms are nice enough with furnishings a bit dated. The rooms are very clean. The customer service is excellent. The location is good if you like being in the very heart of the city. Everything you could want in a center city hotel is there. I'd stay there again.

You can't beat the location here in City Center across from the Kimmell Center. Convenient Parklng is adjacent to the hotel. The lobby & reception area is relatively small, so it's not a good place to gather for any length of time, but there is a lounge right off the lobby. The second floor Balcony provides a very good breakfast buffet. Whether the buffet is comped depends on the room package one has. The Chef at the Omlett station takes pride in his work & he delivers delicious omletts. The wait staff in the Balcony Restaurant and the hotel staff are friendly & attentive. The Balcony Restaurant is a great place for breakfast, and they don't rush you to turn over the table. -- The Rooms here are small, as can be expected in a Center City Venue,. but they're clean & the A.C. & heat works fine. Various pricing plans are available that should be explored before calling Hilton/Doubletree central reservations.

Room Tip: If you want quiet, avoid the --10 number rooms have quad elevators just outside the room's door. .

My son and I stayed at the double tree Hilton hotel in center city Philly. It was a great location to stay for things we wanted to do. We took the PHLASH BUS around and it was only $5 each for the whole day. We went to the rocky statue at the and ran up and down the steps. I took him to the Franklin Institue of Science. Great place to bring your child. My son is six and it was very appropriate for him. We then got on the PHLASH again and it took us to the Reading Terminal Market. Wow what a great place to eat anything you want!! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND DINICS BEST ROAST PORK SANDWICH HANDS DOWN THAT I HAVE EVER HAD!! Don’t even bother with the cheesesteak at Gino’s . Did I mention he went to his first hockey game and got a puck in warm ups! We ended the trip with a Villanova game vs. Columbia!! Great time!! The Hotel staff kept in contact with me the whole entire trip . Thank you Vanada you were tremendous and Aja helped me out with the WiFi!
