Stayed at the Doubletree for a conference and was very impressed with the attentive staff and facilities. Rooms had wonderful views of the city and beds were extremely comfortable.

My stay at the DoublTree was extremely comfortable. I found the staffing at all levels to be efficient and very friendly. The location is in the art's district and very close to fine shops and historical sites. I really enjoyed my stay in the larger than normal rooms and the beds were more than a welcoming treat after a long day of sight seeing. HIGHLY recommend for business or leisure stays.

Stayed at the Double Tree from July 17-22 for business. I have never been impressed with the Double Tree chain, but am forced to stay there for work.

Positive attributes of this hotel:

1. free, high speed internet access
2. good location (we were able to walk to many restaurants, etc.)
3. customer service: I had my Continental boarding pass faxed to the hotel via the airline's website. The fax was under my door in the AM.

Negative attributes:

1. It is in need of updating. I saw signs posted that they are doing some renovations, but my room on the 18th floor had not been updated. Dirty carpet, old bed spread, etc.
2. VERY loud AC unit. Again, this hotel needs some modernization in the rooms. My room had a floor unit AC. It worked well but it was very loud.

I hope this review helps.

When looking for a hotel in Philly I reasearching using TripAdvisor and they did not steer me wrong. Doubletree was an outsanding!!! The staff was great, they knew exactly how to explain where to go, and the rooms were spotless. The AC was cold, the rooms were big, the beds were very comfortable, the bathrooms were clean and the location was perfect. You are 1 block away from some outstanding bars and restaurants in the area. The parking garage was connected and the blocks are short...not like the long NYC blocks. The hotel is about 5 miles from Citizens Bank Park and in the Arts district where it is clean and safe. As an added bonus, Doubletree is only 1 mile from two of the most famous Philly Cheesesteak places (Pat's and Geno's). Next time I go to Philly I am going to go right for the Doubletree!!! Very impressive and very reasonably prices. You will not go wrong staying here.

Just got back from a Saturday night stay with my teen boys to see the sights in Philly and go to a Phillies game. We had two adjoining rooms, each with 2 queen beds, reserved earlier last week at a very reasonable rate on their website (net direct, same as AAA). The rooms were very clean and seemed as if they had been updated recently; the bathrooms, while small, were fine; the bedding, comforter and spread seemed new, all very comfortable. Each room had a corner view of Broad Street. Asked for a room away from the elevators and ice machine, which request was honored. The rooms were quiet, and the hotel is centrally located to be near most historical sights. Citizens Bank Park for the ballgame was less than a 10 minute drive south on Broad Street. Parking ($18 in-out self park) was convenient; make sure you get your ticket validated by the front desk right after you check in, so that you can go in/out later without a problem. Of course, fresh baked cookies were provided on check in. Having stayed at other hotels in the city, I would definitely recommend the Doubletree, especially at their rates, compared to others that are much higher, without giving you anything better.
