Stayed at property for years. This trip witnessed many service cuts. They may save property money but diminish guest experience. From big things like closing the main restaurant, The Balcony, except breakfast to medium things like eliminating omelet station at breakfast (omelets still available if you know to ask and willing to wait) and insufficient server levels. Small things like no replacement of bathroom items during your stay. Limited hours for exec lounge and no dedicated checkin for HHonors guests.

Property in good location with nice rooms. Very friendly and helpful staff. If they bring up service levels again, I would raise my rating back up.

Dear Frequent001,
Thank you for the comments. We apologize that you were not satisfied with this visit as compared to your past stays. While we have closed our Balcony Restaurant for dinner, we have not made any other cuts to our service, either in our guestrooms or in our restaurant. Our Executive lounge hours and service’s have actually expanded since last year. Again, our apologies that we did not measure to your expectations and we hope you will stay with us again in the future.

Stayed 1 night to attend the George Strait concert. Overall great experience. Check in - check out was a breeze. We dropped off our luggage and headed out for a bite to eat and adult beverages. Hotel was centrally located for what we wanted to do. Less than 10 min cab ride from the 30th St station. Quick train ride to the concert. Room was nice with a great view of the city, bar was great, bed was so comfortable, gym had new equipment. Great place to stay and we will be back for a warm weather adventure!

Good quick Check-in. Pointed me to good food for take out to room. Identified al amenities as appropriate. Curb to Check-in was 2.5 minutes. Check-out to cab at 7:30 AM was 2.5 minutes. Price point a little high but reasonable for the product.

Major elevator problems right now. If you need to get somewhere in a hurry, don't use this hotel, or stay on a low floor. asf;lkjaslkdfjjfalskjgd;lkajgslkdjglkajgdlksjgakljg;sdlkgjal;ksjgdlkajg;ldkajgldskjglakjgalds;kjglkasjdglkdsjg

Dear Tracy W,
Thank you for taking the time to write a comment about your stay. Your arrival/departure dates coincided with our annual State of Pennsylvania elevator inspection/certification which unfortunately caused a delay to some guests, depending on the time of day they were entering or exiting the hotel. We apologize that you were subjected to these delays as we try to schedule these mandatory inspections around our guests schedules. The good news is that we passed our inspection and there will be no further reasons to take our elevators out of service. Thank you again for your comments and we hope to see you again in the future.

Great location in downtown near the theaters and many restaurants. A nice big room with lots of windows. Everything as a would be expected in an somewhat upscale chain in a big city. I was very pleased with the room, very clean. The fitness center had brand new machines but the pool was very small. I liked the bar in the lobby, reasonable prices and a friendly bartender. The hotel breakfast was very overpriced and there are many alternatives near by. I was very annoyed with the 10 dollar per day charge for Wifi in the room. I used the free option in the lobby. Great staff. Overall, a very reasonably priced, comfortable option in a great location

Room Tip: Don't pay extra for a room with a view. My free view was fine

From the check-in experience to the check-out experience the staff was very helpful. This DoubleTree is located near the wonderful shopping on Walnut St. You can walk to the shops in under 10 minutes. The value for a downtown location cant be beat.

Not a bad hotel, parking wasn't the greatest. Hotel staff on the way in were great but on the way out were okay. On my first day I actually paid cash for the room as oppose to using my cc, would have appreciated at my check out that they would have told me they would be placing a hold on my credit card. Instead I was told everything was okay and have a good day. Only to find out that there was a hold on my card for fees I paid cash with, once again not a big deal but would have appreciated a heads up. Now for the room, it was cozy and had a great view, my daughter enjoyed the pool and the cookies, just couldn't get enough.

Ines D-
Thank you for taking the time to review your recent stay at our hotel. It is our policy to place a hold on all credit cards in case of incidentals or any additional amenities for every guest, even those paying cash. We do apologize for any miscommunication on our part, and will definitely be sure to make this clear to our guests in the future. We are pleased to hear that your daughter enjoyed herself. We will have warm chocolate chip cookies waiting for your return visit.
