I stayed at the Hampton Hotel when flying out of Philadelphia Airport. It is a great location and there is a Ruby Tuesday restaurant directly in front of the hotel. The hotel has free WiFi and breakfast. Overall, I would recommend this hotel if traveling out of Philadelphia Airport.

I agree that this location seems to be a bit older, but has had renovations recently to update the look. Only one elevator worked, and some of the clientele was questionable, however overall our stay was satisfactory. It did take 2 requests to get some extra pillows, and no fridge/safe. Great breakfast, and staff was friendly.

This Hampton Inn appears to be a bit older. Showing a little wear and tear, broken ice machines, clogged drain but clean, standard breakfast, friendly helpful front desk. Rooms are quiet. Easily accessible. Wawa almost next door is good for gas and extras.

We've stayed here several times in the past for the purpose of catching an early flight out of PHL and have always found the place to be more than adequate but this time things were somewhat off. Don't know if this marks a downturn in service levels or just a remote bad experience. We checked in, returned our rental car and took the rental shuttle to the arrivals terminal for pickup by the hotel shuttle. we called and were told it would be 10 minutes. A half an hour and two calls later the shuttle arrived. We got on but others were left stranded later in the pickup cycle. One of the two elevators was apparently out of service because it didn't move the the entire time we were there but it was not posted as out of order. Ice machine on our floor was out of order. Bath tub did not drain so we wound up standing in several inches of water to shower. At check out there was no one at the front desk to tell about the bath tub. Just a series of unfortunate events that made the stay less appealing than usual.

Not only is this a great place to stay if you were going to the airport but a perfect place to stay if you want to visit downtown Philly and do some sightseeing. We stayed here mid-June, for 2 nights to see the sights in downtown Philly and to go to a Phillies game. Yes this is the perfect place to do these things. We didn’t want to stay in the downtown area knowing driving and parking in the area would be difficult. Also the costs of hotels are a lot more there too. Parking was free here, which is an added bonus seeing you have to pay for parking in most hotels downtown.

So after lots of research and thanks to Trip Advisor, we found this gem. It is less than a 10 minute walk to the Eastwick train station which will take you right to the airport or into the downtown area. (We got off at Market East Station and one day at Suburban Station.) (I believe you could take Hampton Inn’s shuttle to the train station as well, but we didn’t mind the walk at all.) We purchased SEPTA One-day Independence Passes for $11 each, in advance, which includes the rail system on top of the buses, trollies and subway. We purchased ours on-line, but I believe you can purchase them on the train, which we didn’t know that at the time. Go on-line to the SEPTA site and it is very informative on where the stops are and there is a trip planner there too.

The staff was all very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and had plenty of storage space like a cabinet closet and a 3 drawer dresser. We also had a couch, desk and a lap desk. But best of all they advertise that they clean the duvet covers between every guest, which is a BIG plus for me, knowing how nasty some of those bedspreads can get. Speaking of the bed it was very comfortable! Another plus, was the rooms were pretty quiet. We could not hear our neighbors at all, although you could hear hallway noise and the occasional person slamming their door, which they do slam shut if you do not hold on to them to close. Also for being near the airport we never heard a plane and barely saw them for that matter. The only downfalls were there was no mini fridge and the coffee maker in the room had to be moved to a spot that you can easily plug in.

Breakfast was free and an added plus with already made mini omelets, sausages, oatmeal, pastries, do it yourself waffles, cereal, bagels, fruit, etc. I’m sure you will find something you like.

Bottom line we were so happy we found this hotel and were very pleased with our stay here. I highly recommend it and would definitely stay here again!

We chose this hotel as the start of our holiday, simply for its convienience to the airport and SEPTA transfer to the city. The Hotel staff were welcoming and helpful, the room was clean and the breakfast was beyond my expectations, with fresh fruit and a different range of hot dishes each day, as well as the usual cereals and pastries. As i say, a good place to start!
