Located in the Old City section and just a couple blocks from Independence Hall and a block away from the river, this is the place to go for sushi/Japanese set in a small cozy space which can get cramped if you don’t go between the busy periods. We did and had the place almost to ourselves to enjoy the ambiance of the exposed old brick walls, high ceiling with a modern twist to Japanese décor. The Sushi menu is also unique and will see sushi I had not seen on other menus and must try the Zento Ahi Tuna Square Sushi. Delicious food, great Saki selection and Asian beers provided with fantastic service.

If you find your phone is low on charge, you can secure and charge your phone in its own locked cabinet located on the lower level. A parking garage is located around the corner and can get a validation from the restaurant. Highly recommended and would go back.

Cool vibe. It's set in an older build with brick inside, but also has a very modern vibe as well. Very cool!

Very friendly staff as well.

And on top of that, a GREAT menu. We had a variety of food for lunch from udon (veggie and tonkatsu) to bento and sushi rolls. All was put together expertly, looked great, and tasted even better. DEFINITELY a place I'd go back to!!

Bought the Miso Marinated Sea Bass and Ahi Tuna Square sushi and they were unbelievable. To top it off, the green tea moshi fried ice cream dessert was incredible.

We went here for Valentine's Day and it was amazing. The service was good. The food was excellent. We had the calamari appetizer and the king crab soup. The calamari was perfect and the soup was As well. For dinner we had the chicken teriyaki and the Chilean sea bass. Both portions were huge and delicious. In spite of being packed the server was attentive and did not rush us out. The drink menu is big...I had the white peach Cosmo which was yummy. I enjoyed the meal so much that I plan to return here to celebrate my birthday. Great choice if you like Japanese and sushi. I have eaten here before and can also recommend the mini crab cakes..also the sushi I have tried here has always been excellent and the sake is yum...especially the coconut sake.

Our overall impression of the is very small but nicely decorated restaurant is that it might be a little over-rated. Good, but not great. We had the Zento spring roll, Tuna pizza, Angus beef roll, Spicy tuna, sweet potato roll, Bronzino roll and Udon soup. Of those, the Tuna pizza sweet potato roll and Bronzino roll were worth re-ordering, the other dishes were ok, but not memorable. They have a $10.00 corkage fee on BYOB, so make sure it is worth it, as their liquor prices are reasonable. Service was good, but they only had two waitresses and it was busy, so be ready to order.
