We only live 10 miles away, but when we stay at the Anchorage Inn we feel like we are a million miles away from the rat race! The rooms are beautiful, clean, and cozy, and the owners are hospitable and warm. You won't be sorry if you choose this inn when you visit our beautiful island in the Puget Sound! Also, Christopher's a super place to eat and just a short walk from the inn.

One thing Coupeville is known for is its fine dining, an easier pace, a step back in time, the beauty of mother nature every where and our best effort to give you an overnight lodging to remember.

The Innkeepers at this lovely B&B offer warmth, kindness and a wonderfully well-kept environment to use as a home base while exploring the charm of Coupeville's old town waterfront ( just a 3 minute stroll away) and the natural beauty of this splendid island.
Excellent restaurants nearby as well.... our favourites.... Ciao (flavourful Italian and fine service) and Front Street Grill (exceptional attention to detail, presentation and service).
Also recommend the 3 Sisters shop just outside of town....amongst other things, the best ice cream bars we've ever tasted (locally made and reasonably priced)
In fact, everything about our Whidbey Island experience was as we'd hoped(other than the landscape obscuring fog that enveloped us during some of our stay).
Should also mention the tasty breakfast served at the Inn. Once again, the thoughtful attention to detail was what made this experience so memorable.
We've travelled a lot and, truthfully, I don't often bother to write reviews. Making an exception here as an expression of appreciation for all that the island and, more specifically, the Anchorage Inn, had to offer.
We will return.

The inn is new construction but built in the Victorian style. The owners/hosts were very warm and welcoming and our stay for just one night was excellent. Our room was comfortable, lovely decor and complete with a rubber ducky in the bathtub. We had a great lunch and light dinner at Christopher's which was just a short walk away. It was a cold December evening, but still fun to walk around the town and poke into shops that were open. There was coffee, hot cider and tea available anytime and breakfast in the morning was delicious. A great overnight but I can imagine staying longer.

Room Tip: Both the Onward and the Cabot were nice rooms...not large but very comfortable and a good value. The...

The Crows Nest Suite has a beautiful view to enjoy on the 4th of July as homes all around Penn Cove burst with fireworks reflecting on the waters. This room is the highest room in all of Coupeville in its own world. We're glad you had such a good time. Looking forward to celebrating your 80th bday at the inn. D&D's B&B for R&R

My wife and i recently stayed at the Anchorage Inn B&B in Coupeville. We had the Crow's Nest (which was the entire top floor). It overlooked a small city park which was brightly lighted by the Coupeville Garden Club for Christmas. One block beyond the park was the old town along Penn Cove.
The inn was a copy of Victorian homes that once graced towns like Port Angeles. The room was most enjoyable with a king-size 4 poster bed with two steps up to it. The hosts, Dave and Dianne Binder, make their guests feel right at home and provided a very tasty breakfast.
We enjoyed our visit so much that in three months we plan to return to celebrate my 80th birthday.

Room Tip: We love the size, view and the quietness of The Crows Nest but chose the Dicovery room which is on t...

We're glad you discovered how charming Coupeville is, even in the middle of winter. It was a pleasure meeting your needs. We hope to see you when our flowers are in bloom. Your innkeepers,

Bring your dust buster. Check it out before you commit. Cannot recommend it because of this. Bed is also squeaky, scrunchy and hard. Breakfast is ok. Not many choices. Go back to Seattle is a better idea.

I have stayed at the Anchorage Inn as often as I can because Dave and Diane are by far the best Host and Hostess I have ever seen. They were out of town when I stayed this time, but Linda was amazing and absolutely lovely. I had special dietary needs and she went out of her way to take care of me. The rooms are wonderful and comfortable, and the beds are heavenly to sleep in. The price was exceptional for how well I was taken care of.

Whenever we leave for a get away, we always feel comfortable with Lynda who has been with us for years. Her cookies are delicious and she's quite a housekeeper. We haven't met a restricted diet that's we can't deal with, if we've been given prior notice of our guests needs. Dave & Dianne and Lynda.

My wife and I stayed here on a perfect autumn day. The owners were out of town, but Linda was a fine hostess, friendly and made a great breakfast.

We were in room #1, which has a stellar view of Penn Cove and beyond.. The room had a nice TV/DVD/Video combo too, and we actually watched a movie that night from their large collection.

The room was large and well appointed, with a comfy bed. It had been awhile since we stayed in a B and B, even though we travel frequently. This reminds us what a fine option top flight B and Bs like this are for travelers.

This has to have the best view in Coupeville, and the community itself is the most appealing village on Whidbey Island. We'll be back, and I suggest you make this Inn a stop on your next Northwest journey.

Room Tip: Choose a room on an upper floor, for the view. Room 1, "Discovery", is an excellent optio...

We're glad your visit to Coupeville was so enjoyable. Although we were away for Thanksgiving we'll hopefully be home on your next visit. Discovery is the most popular room. Dave, Dianne and Lynda
