Our experience at Garden Isle Guest Cottages was a delight. It started from the greeting we received upon our arrival to the homemade breakfast each morning. The owners were warm and friendly and created that same feeling throughout our experience. The cottage was charming, clean and fully stocked with everything you needed. It provided a comforting feeling like you were at home. I would highly recommend a visit!

My husband and I stayed here a few weeks ago and absolutely loved it! Everything was so clean and they went out of their way to add little details to make their guests feel spoiled. We loved the private hot tub area... nice way to relax after a long day. The food was all homemade and wonderful. The owners were very friendly and accommodating. This place is a treasure and we look forward to returning to it!

Room Tip: You have to book at least 2 nights to get a cottage.

My husband and I stayed at Garden Isle for a week (July 26-August 2) and enjoyed every minute of our stay! Dan and Darrelynn were amazing hosts. We were greeted warmly and awaited our delicious breakfasts and treats the first two nights of our stay. Coupeville's charm, hospitality, and northwestern outdoor feeling was a delightful experience. We hope to one day return to Coupeville and Garden Isle!

We planned a 10 day trip in Olympic National Park and Whidbey Island. Out of all the places we stayed, we loved this one the most. The cabin is super cute with so many thoughtful amenities. There's a jacuzzi we used each night and lots of homemade goodies for breakfast and snacks. The cabin is right in the heart of Coupeville, so you can walk anywhere. The owner was very friendly and great at giving directions and advice on what to do. We would surely stay here anytime we're back in the area.

Coupeville's one of those towns in Washington that excudes and oozes charm and a quaint, rustic feel perfect for weekend getaways. I'd only seen pictures of Coupeville and heard others talk about it, but had never visited despite several trips to Whidbey Island. My girlfriend and I decided to turn a day long workshop into a weekend respite, and we're so glad we did.

Nestled just above the Coupeville wharf with it's rustic pier that creaks when you walk on it, Dan and Darrellyn Currier run a picturesque 'hidden gem' retreat, which are nearly identical cottages sitting side by side on their property. Both cottages face the water and have quite a view on a clear day, and are set well off the road so you actually don't hear the passing cars. We arrived in the late evening, and were greeting by Dan as soon as we parked.

Dan's the epitome of a gentleman -- soft spoken, well mannered, and very welcoming. He's a massive man with a firm, welcoming handshake, and he took the time to tell me where we should go to dinner, as well as provided us with several itineraries for what we should and go do during our three day jaunt. He took us to our cottage, which is actually an old ice house which he completely remodeled, and it was beyond charming. It was like stepping into a Cape Cod cabin, with vibrant, white wainscoting on the walls, a small but well appointed kitchen area, and a bed that was covered in a white goose down comforter that begged to be touched so it could suck you in for an entire weekend and make you never want to leave. The place was impeccable and extremely clean. Dan showed us to the hot tub and gave us a quick crash course, then left us to explore the area. He reassured us he'd be around if we needed anything, and bid us good night. I was impressed with his demeanor.

We looked around the cabin more and found it beyond expectation. Fresh baked muffins and banana bread sat in the kitchen for our enjoyment in the morning, as were three carafes of juice and milk in the fridge. Freshly laundered and rolled white towels were in abundance in the bathroom, and they were thick and luxurious to the touch. The back doors opened up to a small deck with outdoor furniture should we choose to spend time in out back looking at the cleanly manicured yard. We took Dan's recommendation and went to nearby Christopher's On Whidbey for dinner and were not disappointed one bit; it was a well deserved tip that was worth every moment and dime. We returned to the room, changed and spent time in the hot tub, then gave into the allure of the comforter and found ourselves wrapped up and nestled in for the night. Comfort surrounded us. My girlfriend mentioned this was the most comfortable place she'd stayed in, quite possibly ever. It was bliss.

The next morning, we left early to explore and Dan greeted us again. He cleaned our cabin while we were gone and provided us with whatever we needed during our stay. While we never got to personally meet Darrellyn, I imagine she is every bit as polite and accommodating as Dan. We were impressed by his hospitality and his laid back nature which seemed to be part of his island lifestyle -- as easygoing as the tide that lapped the nearby pier at night, and as friendly as the seagulls that followed you as you walked along the pier, hoping for that last bit of a discarded muffin or cookie from you. It added to the experience.

Would we return again? In a heartbeat! We went in late January so unfortunately it wasn't prime weather for exploring, so we've made plans to return in the summer when we can recline on the wood swing outside the cabin, take in the views capable from the porch, and relax and bask in all that Coupeville is known for. We'll see you again, Dan and Darrellyn. Thanks for a great experience!

Room Tip: Choose either cottage; you won't be disappointed!

Me & my boyfriend went for our anniversary and loved the stay. It was very reasonably priced and way better than the usual hotel. It has a gas fireplace, and a hottub shared with one other cabin. Luckily, we were the only ones staying so we had the hottub all to ourselves. It came stocked with probably the best juice I've ever tasted. It'd say the only thing it'd change about it is I wish it had a bathtub. The staff was super friendly. We really want to go back for a summer stay.
