This tour of the National Parks has allowed me to see movie sets across 7 states. From old John Wayne movies etc, Forest Gump and Encounters.
Devils Tower is an impressive formation, well worth the drive. The store is also worth a visit to get that special souvenir.

Very interesting visit, we especially enjoyed the Prairie Dogs upon entering. Plenty of signs for trails. Not much around the area so make sure you have plenty of gasoline.

On a whim we decided to visit the Devil's Tower and we were not disappointed. The tower was interesting to see. There were a few people rock climbing up the side. We walked the path around do that we could see it from all sides. There were several types of birds along with squirrels near the trail. Just a very nice visit.

Hiking is not needed as you have a great view from the Parking Lot There is a small museum with the History as well as a Gift Shop area. I really wish they had a bigger museum area with more information regarding the Indians who camped here, the neighboring farming, etc.

This place is awesome to see if you watched the movie,Close Encounters of the Third Kind. It is spooky, eerie and not to be missed especially when there is a full moon still showing in early morning. The gift shop full of alien souvenirs is fun to explore. Loved the alien heads! A nice snack bar with great ice cream and a porch to sit on while enjoying a treat. The best view is behind the shop on a patio overlooking the tower.
