“Best vacation in a long time”

My husband, two kids and I stayed at the Sierra Nevada Lodge the weekend before July 4th. We loved everything about it. The place was super authentic and cosy. We had a gorgeous room with a fireplace, a kitchenette and even heated toilet seat:) We went canoeing, biking, hiking...everything was right around the corner. The adjacent restaurant, Rafters, has very nice food too. The special top sirloin steak was beyond delicious. We will definitely go back for some more family adventures.

I have been staying here for 4 years. I come every spring/summer. It has always been a clean, comfortable hotel that is so handy to everything Mammoth. Over the past year, they have done major upgrades. The bathrooms are now big, modern, upscale. The rooms themselves are more soundproof with new windows and the addition of AC for the summer really makes a big/comfortable difference. I know most people come to Mammoth for the winter sports. The Sierra Nevada will be a warm, cozy lodge for you too. With heated floors in the bathroom and many rooms offering a gas fireplace, your winter stay will be great. In any season, Rafters next door for a meal or drink is great. You are handy to all of Mammoth, in any season.

fantastic decor and so charming..The rooms were spacious and have recently been refurbished in a country cabin style.(and they were quiet)
the front lobby has a welcoming fire that seats a cast of thousands. a wonderful restaurant next door with views of the snow covered mountains...and surprisingly fresh local produce and hipster clientele.

I went to Mammoth Lakes for Fathers day this year with my 3 kids. We stayed at the Sierra Nevada Lodge and were very happy with this hotel. The property has recently been renovated in a wonderful cozy log cabin feel. The lobby is awesome with a bar, a huge fireplace area, a pool table, and even a cool old baby grand piano that was once owned by Clark Gable and played by Humphrey Bogart in the movie To Have Or Have Not. As for the room it was more like a log cabin with a large separate bedroom with plush king size bed, the bathroom was beautiful with slate tile shower and granite sink. There was a separate living room area, a dining room area and a full well appointed kitchen. Like I said the room was more like a one bedroom log cabin than a hotel room. Oh and lets not forget the fireplace in the room. My kids really enjoyed having a cup of hot chocolate in front of the fire while watching Friends on the nice big screen tv mounted up on the wall. The playground right outside our door was an added bonus as my little girl loved playing on it. The pool and jacuzzi area are also very nice. There is even a minuture golf course on the property and theres plenty of free parking. I will most definately stay at this hotel on my next visit to Mammoth in the winter to enjoy the snow. If fact I can't wait till that time gets here.

Wow! What a find. We drove into town without a reservation and came upon this rustic but luxurious hotel smack dab in the middle of town. The front lobby is all decked out with a old school pool table and a Piano from an old Bogart movie. There's a great bar (Dukes) named after John Wayne and a wonderful pool and spa hidden on the side. The best thing about this place was the rooms. We got a room for $120 vs $220 at the Westin Hotel up the street, and it was awesome with a huge fireplace and king size bed.

Next door are three restaurants and bars, so we didn't have to go far to dine. We
ll be coming back for sure again in the near future.

Amazing experience!!! The hotel was perfectly clean, with all the amenities you could ask for. The decor was gorgeous, the view was fantastic, and the lobby was super kitschy and high end. Michael at the front desk was a star and made our stay such a success. I will definitely return!!!!!!!!!!

We have been very impressed with this hotel. It has a lovely feel to it and has character. It's in a good location, you can walk to restaurants and shops. It has everything you need in a room and is the best hotel yet during our visit. It has a good little laundry and you can borrow irons and a board.
