Got here a little at 7pm and was greeted by Sonya at the front desk. She was a fantastic representative, made me feel welcome and was very helpful and provided a wealth of information on the local community!

We were given a real warm welcome, the service was faultless. We had a pleasant stay but Its a bit run down and need to lift it's game in a few ways...

It's fairly small on two levels and is popular with everyone including young snowboarders (which worried me with noise and partying, but actually it was very peaceful with the usual exception of doors banging with no closers) I would think the duty staff would stop any noisy behaviour but if like me once your awake that's it there's no noding off again then maybe bare this in mind when booking.
Also and this is important there are guest rooms literally off the breakfast area, open your door and there's everyone a few mtrs away having breakfast. This would be no good for anyone wanting to sleep past 7am or any privacy. When booking request a room down the hallway a bit!
The other issues I had was the plastic cutlery and paper plates for breakfast, the the power point was hanging off in our room and the bathroom light was broken (still working)

Otherwise the location was great and once again the staff were really good, the owner just needs to spend a few more dollars!

Hello,

Thank you for taking the time to review our property. Feed back from our guests is very important to us as it helps identify areas of opportunity. We have made several changes and improvements to our property, and continue to do so, as we realize there is always room for improvement. With regards to the plastic cutlery, we are a limited service hotel which unfortunately means, we are not set up to support a full dining room of dinnerware and cutlery. The items we provide are more than sufficient for the complementary breakfast we offer to all of our guests. We hope you enjoyed your time in Mammoth and hope to see you again soon!

I could see the beginnings of a cleaner, more comfortable experience at this Mammoth Lakes hotel. The Quality Inn has been around here for quite some time now, and my girlfriend has stayed there many times over the last ten years. But this early December 2017 stay was a bit different. The staff was more responsive and the cleanliness took a huge step up. Under Sonya (GM), there is a clear change in organization for the better.

The room was comfortable and never too cold, the hot tub was always in perfect shape, and the breakfast was so tasty. Each morning wake up was a welcoming experience before heading up to the freshly snow capped slopes. And we had a blast.

Thank you Quality Inn for taking such good care of us!

As photographers, my wife and I were keen to visit Mono Lake pre-dawn and at dusk. Last year we stayed at a small motel in Junes Lake which was probably the worst place we ever stayed at, so we were wary. Mammoth Lakes does require an extra 15 minutes driving, but it is worth it when you can secure a room of this quality at what was a very reasonable price. The service was excellent; within 20 minutes of arriving I received a telephone call from the front desk just to see if all was well; (by way of contrast just read what I have written about our experiences at June Lake). The breakfast in the morning was excellent with plenty of options, and there was a very helpful lady present who was constantly making sure that nothing was running out. You couldn't ask for more.

Beds comfortable; lots of pillows; fridge and micro; TV and WiFi. Several items not working or broken in our room, but staff sent maintenance promptly. Breakfast variety pretty good, but some items (sausage patties, eggs and potatoes) were tepid. Danish needed a little freshening in the microwave. Plenty of underground parking. Elevator. Rates pretty reasonable in a town with lots of high-end accommodations.

Room tip: Back side rooms (away from the main road) probably quieter than those facing the road.

Hello Sue,

Thank you for taking the time to review our property. We are currently working together to inspect each room and catch concerns of items not working prior to our guest's arrival. With regards to the breakfast area, our breakfast attendant and myself are looking into other option we may be able to serve and still provide a variety for every guest. Please come back and visit us again during your next trip.

The hotel is nice, we had 2 beds, full sized on the first floor. We usually ask for top floor because of noise issues. Even so, this place was quiet for a first floor room. The bed was comfy, lots of pillows, fridge, micro, etc. The breakfast was decent, better than most as it had biscuits and gravy, sausage patties, filling less omelets and a variety of breads, waffles, etc. The service was outstanding, and upon check-in, we were given water and packages of trail mix for being choice hotels members. Awesome. The place has a big spa room, though we did not use it. Quite conveniently located too!

Towels, according to my rating system of 1 being soft and dreamy, and 5 being a brillo pad, these were around 3. Not a baby soft, but not scratchy either.
