Dirty and no "quality" whatsoever

This hotel was one of the worst hotels I have stayed at in a long time. The room was extremely dirty, stains on the sheets, blankets and hair and dirt all over the bathroom.
The water came out of the shower like a drip and there is no AC in this hotel. To open up the window gives you lots of street noise so not a option. There was a fan but it wasn't good enough for the whole room. The breakfast was substandard and mostly processed carbs with very little healthy options. For the price I should have been at the Marriot and next time will go elsewhere or rent a condo for less money than we paid for this dirt hole. The staff was polite but not helpful when we complained. Don't waste your money here, you will regret it.

We have been diligently working to improve the Quality of our hotel and property, and have recently changed all of the bedding, pillows, linens and towels in our rooms. BED BUGS!!!!!!!

I should have known something was wrong when I saw the hair in the shower, and when I called the front desk to ask why I couldn't turn on the air conditioner and Alex the night manager told me we don't need AC in Mammoth?????? Around midnight I woke up scratching uncontrollably I tried repeatedly to call the front desk with no avail!!! So I got dressed and went down to the front desk, Alex was kicked back playing on his iPhone with his feet up on the desk, I told him I think there must be some mosquitoes in my room, he offered nothing. This is the result of my one night stay at the SO CALLED QUALITY INN IN MAMMOTH LAKES CA. Not close enough to the hospital!!!!

Room tip: Don't stay there!!!!!

Hi Betty,

As discussed on the phone, when I came to the hotel, there was no mention of an issue with bed bugs. We have a monthly inspection by a pest control company and consistently sell out, without complaints or mention of any issues. As a gesture of good faith, your night was refunded and you were asked to contact us directly with any items you felt should be covered by our property, however, we did not receive any requests for reimbursement. We currently do not have any issues with bed bugs and continue to have our required monthly service by our pest control company.

NO AC, 100 DEGREE HEAT, THEY DON'T TELL YOU, AND NO REFUND

100 plus degree weather and wildfires in the area this July. Made reservation, confirmation email stated NO AIR CONDITIONING in rooms ONLY AFTER RESERVATION MADE. No ability to cancel reservation at that point. Requested refund, no refund or any other acomodation given. False advertising, deceptive, fraudulent. No place on website mentions lack of basic necessity in summer of A/C. Stay away so as to not be scammed and/or sickened by heat and smoke. Unacceptable business practice. So disgusted, I was taken advantage of and will never stay at a Choice property again. BEWARE!

Hello,

Thank you for taking the time to review our property. Our property like most in Mammoth, is not equipped with A/C. Most of the homes and condos do not have it either. We realize each year that passes, A/C is more necessary and are currently taking the steps to add A/C to our hotel. We currently have 10 units in place and will continue to add units as we confirm the performance. In the future, please do not hesitate to ask for me should you have any concerns.

No Air Conditioning in any room

We stayed on a hot day in July, and had to leave the window open. Since the room faced the street, it was quite noisy. Parking is under the building. Elevator up to the rooms. Free breakfast was average. Location is in the town, and central to most hobbies.

Room tip: Get a fan on hot days. It gets cool at night. No air conditioning in rooms.

Clean, Comfortable and Convenient

We picked this place to stay with our kids before heading out on a backpacking trip for a few days. I honestly wasn't expecting much but our room was big and clean and they had a decent breakfast available for us in the morning. My husband stayed her last month with our boys and my seven year old was really looking forward to this trip back just for the breakfast. Definitely will stay here again before future backpacking trips.

LAKE TAHOE, YOSEMITE, SEQUOIA TRIP

Stayed here one nite 06-23-17. a nice and friendly lady checked us in. Room had no air conditioning, very hot until about midnight. had to leave window open due to heat, people outside were talking very loudly, this went on until about midnight. We had a suite with a two person hot tub. The porcelain on the tub was cracked in numerous places leaving long black marks, I would not even take a shower in this tub. My husband said we paid for it, therefore he was going to use the hot tub, jets were very weak and one of the flanges around the jets fell off into the tub, it was very corroded on the inside. The refrigerator had items of old food left in it. We paid $217.00 for this one nite, We always stay in Choice Hotels if available in places we are staying, we have stayed in at least 50 different ones, this is the worst one we have ever stayed in.
