St. Anton Condos

We were here for a week in summer and it was a great place for us. The unit was charming--I loved the bears!--and the location was perfect. We were away from the hubub of the village, but the trolley stop was right across the street and it was easy to get around without using the car. We had our grandkids with us, and one of their favorite things, right after the bunk beds, was riding on the trolley. Our only regret was that we didn't get into the hot tub until our stay was half over. The big pool wasn't heated, so it was really chilly in there. We enjoyed the amenities in the village and had a spectacular ride on the gondola up to the top of the mountain, where we could watch the smoke from the fire on the west side come up over the top

Room Tip: The balcony of our living room faced the street, making it easy to see the trolley and people walkin...

We had a great stay and everybody working the dest were extremely helpful especially Kim. The Condo had everything you could possibly need. We will be coming back here again soon.
There are two jacuzzis on the property which were always ready when we came off the slopes.
No elevator so pack light.

Just returned from a snow filled weekend at Mammoth (yes it finally did snow last weekend) and stayed at St. Antons condos. Really can't say enough good things about this complex. First and foremost - location! At the base of Canyon Lodge you can walk to a lift in a minute so no parking / driving hassles. You can take the gondola or the bus if you want to drop into town for anything.

The complex has an in-house service team that go out of their way to take good care of you. The units are individually owned so the quality may vary a bit but our stay in #13 was great. Lots of little amenities made it really enjoyable. Would recommend St. Anton to anyone coming to Mammoth winter or summer.

Room Tip: The bed in #13 is a brand new pillow top and was fantastic!

I have been coming to Mammoth for over 30 years now and have stayed in many different places. We now only stay at St. Anton. It is in a great location (just a few short steps from Canyon Lodge and the mountain....granted in that altitude you can feel every step when you are dressed for a day of skiing) and since you are in a condo you have more room. I'm tired of hotels. I want space to relax and get comfortable in after a day of skiing and a kitchen to cook in.

Since all the units are individually owned you have the option to choose what amenities are important to you. Most rental units are listed on their website with pictures to aid in your choice. We stayed in #30 for it's view (building B has the best) and what it had to offer. The 3 building complex has a rec room, a sauna, 2 big, outdoor jacuzzi which we were in every night (a great way to meet other people/renters) and covered parking. There is a shuttle across the street to take you to town for dinner if you don't want to cook. The office staff was happy, friendly, and ever-so accommodating. I can't say enough nice things about them!

I look forward to going back next winter. Here's hoping there is a lot of snow!

Room Tip: The 2 bedrooms are on the 2nd floor and have stairs. The 1 bedrooms are on the first floor and can...

Stayed here with my son & his girlfriend in a 2 bedroom condo (#82). The condo was well-supplied and very spacious. The owner thought of everything and both bedrooms and bathrooms were really great.

The owners are very helpful - they gave us maps and info about local activities etc.

Room Tip: The 2 bedroom condos are on the 2nd floor and the 1 bedroom condos are on the 1st floor. All floors...

Just returned from a 10 night stay in St Anton. We chose St Anton as the website provides full details on each condo with lots of good pictures. Given all units are individually owned and decorated differently it meant you knew roughly what you were going to get rather than going through the lottery some of the other condos seemed to offer.

The condo itself is located just a 5 min walk from Canyon Lodge so excellent for skiing. The area is dead at night but there was a handy shuttle which ran every 15 minutes during the day and then every 20 minutes in the evening which takes you into Mammoth itself. it was very, very reliable and the bus stop is just outside. During our stay it was running until 2am. During the day the Gondola is also an option for getting into town.

The Austria Hof opposite is the only dinning option near by. We ate there a couple of nights. It is not cheap but food and service was outstanding. It also had a good bar.

We stayed in unit 55. It was very well equipped, immaculately clean and very comfortable. It was towards the back of the property over looking trees so quiet from that aspect. The unit also included ski lockers in canyon lodge which was great and saved carrying the skis across the car park every day.

On the negative side there was a lot of noise from the unit above us, we could hear every foot step. A lot of the unit has marble floors so very, very cold on the feet, definitly take slippers if staying here. There was no heater in the bathroom except for a towel rail and over head lamp. Although the unit itself was nice the corridors to get to the condos were very basic and looked a bit like a student dorm. We have stayed at other ski resorts in the US and got a lot better accommodation for the price.

If I visited again I would probably try and stay down in Mammoth where there is a bit more going on. If you are looking for a peaceful place almost on the mountain, then probably a good option.

Room Tip: Unit 55 was very comfortable and looked like it has recently been remodelled. Also it is at the bac...

St. Anton's condos boast an extremely convenient location -- right next to Canyon lodge. Covered parking, helpful staff. Our family just returned from a three-night stay here, and we'll definitely return!
