“A bit of Greek heaven - The only thing better than the food....was the service”
Reviewed June 14, 2013

Wow! What a great, fun, relaxing evening. We were celebrating our 40th wedding anniversary and looking for a special place. We looked at the reviews for Jimmy's on TripAdvisor and hoped that all the rave reports proved out. We were certainly not disappointed. Enough has been written about the incredible food (and we agreed with all of them), but unless you've been in Jimmy's yourself, you can't get the real feel for what makes it so special. Their entire staff made you feel welcome. Never rushed, everything flowed smoothly and every need was taken care of. One of the items we ordered was an incredible seafood stew that they took the time to break down into 4 smaller bowls for us all the share. Jimmy's has somehow created that perfect blend of a top notch restaurant that makes you feel like you're at home with friends and family. We'd be remiss to not mention their extraordinary wine sommelier, Chip Irmish. He's friendly, knowledgeable, and has a knack of matching the perfect wine with any dish. His hand picked wines certainly make for the most impressive set of cellars I've seen in quite a while.

“Excellent atmosphere, service and food”
Reviewed June 7, 2013 via mobile

We had a lovely dinner at Jimmys last night. The restaurant is bright and pleasantly decorated with soft blues and wood. There is a nice bar area and open kitchen. The overall first impression is excellent. Our waiter was a Tom Cruise lookalike and was excellent and helpful. We ordered the king prawn starter with tomato bean sauce (sorry cant remember Greek name) which was excellent. Very well cooked with three huge king prawns, excellent flavours and ingredients. I had a chicken souvlaki and my husband had a filet mignon souvlaki which were agsin, both excellent. The meat and chicken were moist and tender and the tzatsiki was the best I have ever tasted. Could have done without the pickled vegetables and had extra hot ones on the skewer, but that didn't detract from the overall enjoyment of the meal. The Pinot Grigio by the glass was first class and was served well chilled, which is a nice change! Well done Jimmys. A lovely restaurant and I would highly recommend it

“Great Greek food! No kids menu”
Reviewed May 27, 2013 via mobile

We had a great dinner here. It is a nice restaurant, with a cool bar. The food is not cheap, but authentic Greek. We had the whole wood fired fish, pork chop, fisherman's stew and grilled artichokes. The greek salad was outstanding and wine was reasonably priced. I did not care for the moussaka, as it was extremely heavy with a cream/cheesy top. It was not the typical casserole style. But my husband had no problem eating this. There was no kids menu, but our kids enjoyed eating from our entrees. If you have children that are picky eaters, this is not the place for you.

“We felt like we were back in Cyprus”
Reviewed April 24, 2013

When we visited the island of Cyprus we found one GREAT thing in common everywhere we went to eat. You walk in as strangers, you walk out as friends. Jimmy's gave us the same great experience.

The first person to greet us at the door gave us fantastic menu suggestions before we had even been seated. Our server was courteous, knowledgeable about the cuisine and our glasses were never empty. The decor made us feel like we were back on the island and the menu had a great selection of food from what we like to call "safe" choices to exotic/different selections if you are adventurous.

As an appetizer (because the maitre d suggested it) we ordered the Octopus (SO DELISH!) and for our meal we ordered one "safe" dish in the Rib Eye (EXCELLENT) and the whole fish (in the sea bass family, also SO good). The fish came with instructions from the chef on how to best cut and fillet the fish so that you are picking out the least amount of bones while eating it.

We had a lovely dining experience. Excellent food, service and atmosphere. We will definitely return for a meal when we visit Mammoth again!

“Good Food”
Reviewed April 16, 2013

It was pretty good. Had the whole fish which was very good. Decor was nice and comfy. The reason for 3 stars versus 4 is the service. Server was clueless when we were asking about the menu and wine list. Wine list interesting to say the least but nearly impossible to read and decipher. Server called over a wine guy (manager?) to help but he was a little too pretensious for our liking. I will try again as our meal was quite good but hope there is more knowledgable staff to help us out being we were completely unfamiliar with greek food.
