We stayed two night in the off season, (between the Mt BIke season and the Ski Season) and had a great time. Dave got us a reservation at a great local restaurant, helped us figure out where to go hiking and even loaned my wife a coat when she neglected to bring a warm enough one! Then when we mentioned we were going to watch the Thursday night NFL game, set us up in the main room on the couch, tuned in the game for us!

Then of course there was breakfast. Two outstanding meals which I am now going to try to replicate at home for myself.

I don't think I can say enough nice things about these people. I've been to a lot of B&B's and this one is tops.

I will mention that Dave reminded me to remove any extra food from the car because well, Mammoth has bears and no need to have my car wrecked for a bag of chips. Thanks Dave!

This is a large home with two bedrooms for rent. Both are on the second floor, with a large kitchen, a dining area, and a warm, inviting sitting area in front of a massive stone fireplace. The hosts live downstairs, and there is a room with a pool table downstairs for guests to use as well. We were attending a wedding at Convict Lake nearby, and this seemed a good site.

Our room (Hot Creek) was big and comfortable, with a walk-in closet. The bathroom in our room was like a spa, with a huge tub as well as a stand-alone shower.

Our hosts were pleasant and knowledgeable about the area. They cooked wonderful breakfasts-- a "skillet" of egg, sausage, and diced potatoes served with a fruit salad and fresh juice one morning, waffles with hot maple syrup, fresh strawberries, and confectioner's sugar the next. Breakfast is at 8:30, and hosts Dave and Sharon have their breakfast with you and will answer questions to help you plan your day.

Very woodsy atmosphere--you feel a little like a guest at the Ponderosa.

Room tip: Both rooms seem about the same.

We chose this place between many other choices in expectation of Swiss chalet style accommodation. The hosts are very nice. However we where disappointed -room was very dark with red color walls, the humongous bed had an uncomfortable bedding and poly fill in pillow cases felt like sleeping on rubber; the view from the room is towards the wall and windows of next door house ( no privacy), the access road to the house is tough to find and narrow, and the breakfast is too late for outdoors activity ( starts at 8.30 am) with unusual host joining the table with the guests.

We stayed at the Swiss Chalet during a road tour of California and wished we had more time to explore Mammoth Lakes as it is the most stunning of locations. Dave and Sharon were extremely lovely and put on a wonderful breakfast for us. The rooms are beautiful and spacious and everywhere is extremely welcoming. Definitely one to recommend and definitely deserves more than a one night stay - if only we'd known.

The Swiss Chalet is a beautiful home in a nice, quiet residential neighborhood of Mammoth. It is a lovely home made and accented with wood. There is a large deck out the back, set up with chairs and hot tub. There are 2 bedrooms at this B&B - the one we stayed in was the East Walker room, a large room with a king bed, a full closet, and large bathroom with a shower and separate tub. The bed was super comfy and we slept really well here! Sharon and David were excellent hosts. When we arrived, Sharon was very helpful in giving us a local map, with some areas to visit and places to eat dinner. When David arrived later, he came up to meet and talk with us - the next morning, he cooked a totally delicious breakfast. They were both very accommodating, helpful and friendly. We would definitely stay here again!!
