We chose this place between many other choices in expectation of Swiss chalet style accommodation. The hosts are very nice. However we where disappointed -room was very dark with red color walls, the humongous bed had an uncomfortable bedding and poly fill in pillow cases felt like sleeping on rubber; the view from the room is towards the wall and windows of next door house ( no privacy), the access road to the house is tough to find and narrow, and the breakfast is too late for outdoors activity ( starts at 8.30 am) with unusual host joining the table with the guests.

We stayed at the Swiss Chalet during a road tour of California and wished we had more time to explore Mammoth Lakes as it is the most stunning of locations. Dave and Sharon were extremely lovely and put on a wonderful breakfast for us. The rooms are beautiful and spacious and everywhere is extremely welcoming. Definitely one to recommend and definitely deserves more than a one night stay - if only we'd known.

The Swiss Chalet is a beautiful home in a nice, quiet residential neighborhood of Mammoth. It is a lovely home made and accented with wood. There is a large deck out the back, set up with chairs and hot tub. There are 2 bedrooms at this B&B - the one we stayed in was the East Walker room, a large room with a king bed, a full closet, and large bathroom with a shower and separate tub. The bed was super comfy and we slept really well here! Sharon and David were excellent hosts. When we arrived, Sharon was very helpful in giving us a local map, with some areas to visit and places to eat dinner. When David arrived later, he came up to meet and talk with us - the next morning, he cooked a totally delicious breakfast. They were both very accommodating, helpful and friendly. We would definitely stay here again!!

I have traveled to Mammoth Lakes many a times with groups and have always stayed in condos. This year my wife and I were going up solo and unknowingly were going up on a holiday weekend. All hotels/motels were booked up solid. I came across this place on google maps. I saw their website and a little research i decided to book us a room. This turned out to be the best decision EVER!! Sharon and Dave run the most homely and inviting BnB's i have ever stayed at. I got a call from them the day before we arrived just to confirm out reservation and arrival times. Also as we drove up from LA the day of... Sharon called to make sure she would be available for us on our arrival. We ended up arriving after midnight (which i felt very bad about) and Sharon was there with a smile from cheek as we walked up to the door to welcome us. She gave us a quick run down of things and reconfirmed breakfast time and let us get settled in.

We woke up the next morning (a little tired of course) to the wonderful smell of bacon. We met Dave for the first time as he was manning the stove making our breakfast. Oh what a wonderful meal to get us ready for a day on the slopes. We all ate breakfast together and had a nice conversation to get to know each other.

Fast forward fun filled day of snowboarding.... we get back and really get to see the place we are staying at. This place is GREART. Do yourself a favor and stay here. The room is like... no scratch that... is MORE than a hotel suite. They have a jacuzzi and more. The room has a walk in closet and a large bathroom with a soaking size tub.

You initially feel like you are staying in someone else's house but Sharon and Dave really make you feel like this is your home too. When we arrived we had some leftovers from our drive up and had placed them in the fridge. When we woke up we mentioned that to them in an apologetic tone hoping we didn't over step our bounds. Sharon and Dave quickly told us that they were happy we used the fridge and it was NO bother WHAT SO EVER. Wow....... I haven't felt more at home since...... well.... being at my own home.

Last day we all had breakfast and we packed up our bags to head home. Dave offered to help move bags to our car but i couldn't take him up on that offer as gracious as he was during our stay. We said our goodbye's and well wishes and headed home. We will definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone we know. Do yourselves a favor just make your reservation here..... you won't be disappointed.

Room tip: Can't really go wrong, both room are identical except for design.

My wife and I stayed with another couple as we toured California. Absolutely beautiful home! Absolutely wonderful owners. They were very helpful and gave us advice on things to see in the area, coffee in the morning, and just comfortable chat before letting us enjoy the top floor.

This was perhaps one of the nicest places we've ever stayed, and Dave and Sharon made the stay very enjoyable. Should be a able to put 6-stars here.
