Spent two nights at Cinnamon Bear June 3 and 4. Friendly, helpful staff and convenient location. Disappointed as according to other ratings on Trip Advisor this sounded like a great place. This is not a typical B& B. More like a motel. The place is somewhat weathered and needs cosmetic work inside and out.
At first appearance the room looked inviting and clean. However, we found used under garments from previous guest just under the bed. The second day water glasses in the room were not cleaned. Soap we used was stuck to the sink counter. The mattress in the room had a sponge pad on top of the mattress. Have not seen that since hospital work in the 70's.
Breakfast the first day was awful-toast soggy, potatoes dry, omelet seemed pre-cooked with thin sandwich ham in it. The second day the breakfast was somewhat better with waffles. The continental breakfast cereal and coffee, etc was just adequate.
Reminded us of low budget places we have stayed at in ski areas in a pinch. OK for that.

Two words: hot tub :)
This was a lovely, friendly inn with well sized rooms, good helpful service and breakfast far surpassing expectations with cooked items in addition to the standard cereal & pastry options. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay which was greatly enhanced by that hot tub!

We went to Mammoth Lakes on Memorial Day Weekend, but I can imagine how beautiful it can be during the winter skiing season. We had a small suite, which was cozy and kept us warm with an old fashioned-looking furnace heater. If we didn't have a fireplace back home, I would want to get that furnace. The bed was extremely comfortable and cushiony. We did hear raccoons on the roof in the morning, but they never woke us up. The breakfast lodge has cereal and oatmeal, with coffee and tea, set out for everyone. A nice couple who run the inn also take orders for guests if they want to eat the breakfast meal of the day. One day it was omelets and the next day it was pancakes.

We picked this lodge because it was close enough to Bishop for Mule Days and we also saw Convict Lake, which is one of the prettiest lakes I have ever seen. There were more things to do around Mammoth Lakes, but the roads were closed.

Overall, the place is definitely worth it for the price we paid!

Friendly staff, a plentiful cooked breakfast, and convenient location. However, unfortunately we didn't sleep well as the gas fire in the corner of the room made the air very dry and uncomfortable, and we were unable to turn it off. Asthmatics beware - plus should bear in mind that the high elevation can make you feel a little short of breath on exertion. We were also a little disturbed by noisy fellow guests in the room above us as the walls were quite thin.

Room Tip: Choose a top floor room as you may be disturbed by the guests above you if you are on the ground flo...

The people who run the hotel are very nice,
Morning breakfast includes a different hot item they make for guests.
Room heats up one cold nights. Close to restaurants, nature,
There are quite a number of Europeans,
Walls are a bit thin though.

Room Tip: Not next to hot tub.

Truly a hidden gem! Looks run down on the outside, but the rooms are incredible on the inside. High four-poster bed, a gas burning fireplace, really romantic/cozy. Ski/board locker outside the room so you don't have to drag them inside (we stored our Mammoth beer there to stay cold!). Amazing made to order breakfasts every morning (strawberry cream cheese stuffed French toast one day, spinach tomato Romano omelette the next). Afternoon snacks. Pam and her husband were wonderful hosts, very informative. Located centrally between Old Mammoth Road area and The Villiage/Mammoth ski resort. Off the main road, so no traffic. We had a bear roaming outside and the sound of woodpeckers to wake us in the morning. Jacuzzi if you can brave the cold!
