We stayed here for 2 nights in September to use as a base for visiting the area. The motel itself is a little dated and could use a good clean in some areas but overall we really enjoyed our stay there. Would not recommend the jacuzzi but the sauna was good, and there are laundry facilities, which again are useful when you have been on the road awhile. Staff are really friendly and gave loads of good advice. Loads of good places to eat in town, the best being the Bakery for breakfast, and Burgers, well for a burger! Overall we would stay again.

Well, thanks for John at the front desk our trip was special.

He was really accomodating, friendly and helpful, gave us a room on the first floor instead pf second when saw how much luggage we have, gave great recommendation on food (best tri-tip steak in our whole US trip) and information about surroundings.

Even though this was the most expensive motel we stayed in it was well worth of money.

Room was clean, basic, but perfect for the night. Usual amenities and a bit aged tv. It felt wonderful after a hot day in Death Valley to literally chill out in our room with fantastically sharp air from the forest.

Breakfast was ok, pastry section with fruits always do it for us.

We would definitely return!!!

The friendly owners make this place a good choice. The location is quiet and the other guests are quiet. The internet works great. The rooms are clean enough, but a little dated. Everything worked in the room. The breakfast was limited and ran out of fresh fruit quickly. For a budget, this was a good choice.

The management is very helpful and friendly. I had booked a king room no smoking but because I cannot climb stairs he put us on first floor with 2 full beds. It was ok. Quiet and clean. Beds were ok, pillows fluffy. We did not eat breakfast here, but they do have the basic coffee, juices, muffins, cereal, etc. There is no pool, but a sauna and a jacuzzi. Laundry room, didn't use. I would stay here again.

If you're looking for luxury, go elsewhere. But if you're looking for reasonably priced accommodations in Mammoth, this is a good choice. Pro's: Good price, friendly staff, centrally located but not on main drag (so a little quieter). Cons: Building is a little run down, rooms are dated and breakfast is very basic with limited seating.

Room Tip: Choose upper floor because floors squeak.

Only stayed here for 1 night and that was more than enough. Our room was very basic, quite small, dated, not overly that clean and a grubby bathroom. We did have a fridge, microwave and coffee maker in the room. The walls are thin so you can hear alot of noise from other guests. The bed sheets are cheap and yellowish with lumpy pillows, and the bed wasn't that comfy. You also get very small towels in the bathroom.
One good thing is the chap on reception is very friendly and helpful giving you lots of informative about the town. He also advised us not to leave any food in your car overnight due to bears and best to park out-front or round the back, not in the underground car park, safer from  bears.
Breakfast a little late 7.00am, and a very simply selection and not the best, orange juice watery, muffins a bit stale.
I wouldn't recommend a stay here, although the town is definately were a visit.

I stayed at the Travelodge Mammoth Lakes, CA for one night in late July. The motel was difficult to locate even though the address was just on the main road into town...it is up a not-well-marked street and uphill from the main road. Both the exterior and interior areas of the motel look like a tired leftover from the 70's. Granted it is used during hard winter weather by skiers and other winter sports fans, the walls, flooring, paint and decor is very dated and soiled. That said, the staff was enormously helpful and welcoming with no excuses made for plumbing failures or odorous flooring at the facility. Relatively inexpensive but there are other more well maintained choices like the Quality Inn across the street
