This place has clearly had a lot of use over the years and not much spent on maintenance. Everything you needed was there but pretty shabby.
Room was clean and we had a good sleep.

No elevators, no cart for luggage other then first floor, and no help with the luggage. We reserved room for 5 days and when we expressed that we are unable to carry all our luggage up and it would like to stay in the first floor the front desk answer was that we stay long time and it will be too difficult to change other reservations,
The cancellation policy required 48 hours. So your are in the mercy of the front desk.
No air-condition and it was really. Eventually we changed the hotel. We weren't the only guests to do it. Some of the room where not clean.
You can do much better in Mammoth for the rate they charge.

We stayed here two nights. The price was about average for the area, we thought (roughly $93/night, including tax). The room was large and had a refrigerator, microwave, sink, and some plates and utensils. The wireless Internet worked well. The room was clean and in good repair. There were lots of outlets for charging phones and other devices. The TV was a bit small and across the large room from the bed, so it wasn't ideal for viewing, but it worked fine. The only real knock on the place was the "continental breakfast". Options consisted of juice and coffee, bagels, and individually packaged danish, plus apples. I suppose that is actually closer to a real European continental breakfast than offered by most places with more choices, but it seemed a let-down compared to the rest of the stay.

We stayed here during a driving holiday around the South West USA.
Sierra Lodge is an independent hotel, situated off the main street in Mammouth Lakes. The hotel itself has a parking underneath - which is very useful - and has laundry facilities for guest, again very useful on a fly-drive holiday.

Breakfast is included but is very simple, consisting of bagels, muffins and jam, as well as fresh fruit (an apple), coffee and juice. Not exciting, but enough to start the day. It is served in a very small lounge with three tables and a sofa, so gets busy if the hotel is full. The room does have great views of the snowy tops of the mountains though - quite impressive in August!

Our family suite was huge, with three rooms, including a kitchenette area off the lounge. The bedding was a bit tired - the sofa bed and rollaway were lumpy very uncomfortable, but the beds were fine. The rooms do not have airconditioning, but fans are provided. Finally, the rooms seemed superficially clean, but obviously not carefully cleaned as we found dried up pieces of cheese and lots of dust under the bed/where the cupboards were.

Staff are very friendly. Overall, we had a pleasant stay but I am not sure I would return, particularly as we were there during the Jazz Festival and the rooms were quite expensive.

Large though not very pretty room. The whole hotel needs renovation, but efficient staff, acceptable conditions, and fine if you're staying one or two nights. Breakfast not great.
