The first night we stayed at the Westin we dined at The Whitebark restaurant. The decor is very contemporary and I loved the menu selections and the way the menu offers small trio plates in each category of food. I started with the tuscan greens with grilled flat bread (this place is big on flat bread) and a fig balsamic vinaigrette dressing. The Kim Crawford Pinot Gris was one the wine list which I ordered, also. For my entree I chose a small plate trio of crispy beef with chili sauce, tempura white prawn with lemon vanilla reduciton and the jerk chicken, pancetta wrapped and chipotle guava glaze, everything was wonderful.
Our service throughout the meal was perfect and one of the best parts of the meal was the Apple Tortilinni with Caramal Sauce and Housemade Vanilla ice cream. My husband loved his free range chicken saffron and harissa with golden raisin couscous, also. The next morning we enjoyed breakfast here and I loved the Goat Cheese scramble with Red Peppers, Spinach and Tomatoes, flat bread and Oven Roasted Potatoes. We had a view of the gondola and it was snowing. We made some wonderful memories at the Whitebark @ the Westin Monache Resort in Mammoth Lakes. Go here! :)
