“Becoming our Mammoth favorite”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 28, 2014

We have thoroughly enjoyed the 2 dinners we have had here. The food is well prepared and nicely presented. On our last visit my mate had seared Ahi Tuna and I had roasted pork tenderloin. We both were very pleased. They have a nice wine list including one of our favorites - Talbott Sleepy Hollow Pinot Noir.

Service was attentive and efficient. The room is attractive with big windows, although the view of the Village is less than inspiring.

We'll be back.

“Ended up being our favorite place in Mammoth”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 17, 2014

We went for the Taco Tuesday in the lounge- Spring special, but ended up being there during Happy Hour too. We had a great meal and the kids loved it too. Try to get there before 5, as it gets busy after that.

“Great hotel average restaurant ”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed April 16, 2014 via mobile

First I'd like to point out this is a review of the restaurant not the attached bar. The bar food is great and has happy hour specials so for such a small area it gets packed. We'd eaten at the bar the day before but decided to go to the restaurant as I couldn't be bothered to wait for the bar.

Food was very average (Elk & wild boar and fairly expensive $45 & $36) the cheesecake desert was virtually inedible and a very poor effort.

I'd eat in the bar and look elsewhere if you want something impressive.

“Quite good for a hotel rstaurant”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 8, 2014

The Westin Monache is so very NOT Mammoth. I really don't like that entire "village" scene they've built there. If I want that sort of ski resort pretentiousness I'll go to Vail, or even Squaw Valley at Tahoe. I like the old, laid back and casual Mammoth. That said, Whitebark is a good restaurant. The booths are a little cramped, so ask for a table in the back, where there is more room and you are away from the bar, where it can get noisy. Bu the food is well prepared, there are many good choices, and the prices are only a little too high for the area. And I did not find the service to be slow.

“Slow but Amazing”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 20, 2014

The food was good. The service was a bit slow on Friday morning for breakfast, especially with a small child. The prices were actually more than the room service rates for the same food. They were excellent with my child's severe egg allergy, so we would definitely go back!
